Since its launch in 2015, the SFX-L form factor has garnered popular recognition and support among enthusiasts with its larger 120mm fan able to achieve better balance of power and quietness in small form factor PCs than what was possible with standard SFX. And as a leader in power supply miniaturization, SilverStone has continued its efforts in advancing the SFX-L forward to reach ever higher limit. The SX800-LTI not only has unprecedented 800 watts of power output but also has the highest level of 80 PLUS efficiency with a Titanium rating. It includes all features available from top of the line SilverStone PSUs such as flexible flat cables, all Japanese capacitors and advanced semi-fan less capability. For those looking to build the most efficient small form factor systems possible with great quality and power, the SX800-LTI is definitely the top choice.

With 700w the unit is capable of feeding most CPU and GPU combinations around and for most the at much less then its rated capacity for typical parts so works fine in that regards. This unit is of course the slightly longer SFX-L and the extra housing is used to accommodate a larger 120mm fan. For most the part under low loads the fan does not spin at all (provided it also has adequate airflow) and only when it gets hotter under a load such as gaming, will the fan spin up, though to be honest even then, its fairly inaudible to me.
There are plenty of cables included of the flat ribbon variety and thankfully this time unlike my last purchase of a SFX silverstone PSU, they actually include a UK model kettle lead. Oddly unlike with the 500w SFX-L unit from Silverstone also, they have not included a SFX to ATX power bracket, so you will need to buy one if you plan to eventually put into a ATX case, something that would make more sense with a 700w supply over a 500w supply to be honest.
Anyways, it does what it says on the tin. If I did not have the custom sleeved cabled, I think I may have looked at the 600w corsair SFX unit to be honest, as its much cheaper yet looking at online review's (JonnyGuru) and the like performs even better in area's like ripple and 600w is adequate for most builds.
I'm all about low noise computing and this is definitely the most silent in my system (well apart from my SSDs).
I have an i7-4790K paired up with a GTX970 and they draw a little over 250W from the wall at max load and this PSU never breaks a sweat and doesn't feel hot and never spins up, even in my lovely looking but poorly ventilated Jonsbo UM3X case.
The power supply is highly efficient, easily fitted (into the Silver Stone computer cube box), noise free and good value for money. It is a most appropriate power supply for the product.
Whilst it works I will keep it but will replace as soon as it becomes financially acceptable.
Second one arrived, and its "silent" on low loads, but anything thats slightly demanding maybe 3-400 W of peak use, the fan ramps up to very audible. Anything closer to 450-500W load and the fan sounds like a hair dryer.
It works, and is nice quality/cables feel good, but is no use for a quiet or open case build. I will use this as a spare for sure and go for something else.
Star off, because for what it is, it's expensive - but these are as rare as hen teeth, so was happy to buy and not disappointed.
Should fit any ATX slot, not just Silverstone ones with reasonably thick metal.
