However, once it's put on, it's hard to press some of the letters if you're a fast typer.
Also, you can't see the keyboard being lit, which is not good when it's dark in the room.
It feels really weird to have it on.
For some it may take a while to get used to the rubber feel but after a a while it feels normal and relaxed. I definitely suggest investing in one of these if you drink and eat around your laptop a lot and also want to protect the writing on the words as they can scratch off over the years. Its cheap and lasts for a very long time.
Just makes sure you dust and clean it from time to time.
The second reason to have it , is to put a stickers with your alphabet on it, so you don’t need to mess with original keyboard.
Very good product. One remark, letters are not visible good when the keyboard light is on.
i have no idea why this would be, BUT when playing music and lifting the cover off and on there was a huge quality difference
The product is perfectly fine...if you're used to and like the sharp click of the MacBook's keys, this might annoy you as it softens the feel of the keyboard and all but removes the sound of the click! For me, it's my first MacBook and I've had it 3 days before the skin-cover arrived, so it makes very little difference to me!
The keys ARE NOT see through...as a result the back-lighting doesn't really work at all...but because the letters are painted in white they're still perfectly visible in low light, so if anything it's just saving me battery power by not needing to use the back-light which looks great but uses a hell of a lot more power than you'd think.
Overall I like this product as a necessity and for me it was well worth the money, and if i spill something that otherwise would have killed the macbook, all the better! And it'd take someone who own's a MacBook actually putting their hands on it for them to even notice it's their!
I don't really see the point of this skin. It sits loosely over the keys and any dust /crumbs/spillage will just collect or go straight underneath the skin anyway so for me it is an invention without a real use. it does change the feel of the keys and I suppose will protect the keyboard from touch wear.
As with many such "protective" gadgets they are more of a muck trap than anything else.
Why buy a very pricey but beautiful device like the Mac Pro and cover it with cheap crap which detracts from ALL the reasons you invested in Apple in the first place?

Great cover especially for its price but at times the silicon lifts up from the centre and I have to put it back in place. Fast delivery.Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
Fits well. Though it shows eject where my mac has its power switch.Published 1 month ago by Andy Pullinger
I can't fault it too much as it is stupidly cheap, but the product is utterly useless and easily slips off the keyboard. I really do not see any point in it, I chucked mine out.Published 1 month ago by Rory
