3D NAND Technology for Enhanced Reliability and Power Efficiency Applying the advanced 3D NAND flash, Ace A55 features higher reliability and better power efficiency than traditional SSDs equipped with 2D NAND flash. The A55 offers improved endurance and longer battery life that you're able to work longer without frequently recharge your laptop. High Transfer Speeds for Fast Start Up Powered by high quality controller and original synchronous NAND flash, the A55 delivers incredibly high transfer speeds that enable short boot time, fast application loading and quick file processing. SLC Cache Technology for Performance Boost and Longer Lifespan The A55 especially applies the ”SLC Cache technology” that allows all data to be written in the SLC portion first and leads to higher peak writing performance. In addition, the technology can reduce write amplification and thus offer better endurance and longer lifespan of the SSD. Free-download SSD Health Monitor Tool - SP Toolbox Software The A55 comes with a free-download SSD health monitor tool - SP Toolbox Software, which is especially designed for you to easily monitor the current health status of a SSD. By such, you can run a performance test, get an overall health evaluation and check detailed information about your SSD, including used space on device, device temperature, total bytes written, S.M.A.R.T. status, erase count status and block numbers. *Please download the software at SP Official Website. Absolutely Reliable with Bad Block Management The A55 is built with Bad Block Management, which can continually monitor and replace bad blocks to keep your system in good condition with prolonged lifespan of a SSD. Multiple Techniques Supported The A55 is one of the lightest and thinnest SSD of its kind yet it is shock- and vibration-proof since it contains no moving parts. Furthermore, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and ECC technology are equipped to promise higher data transmission safety.

First warning, this SSD is made from refurbished parts. That is factory rejects for unknown reasons. Some drives may work brilliantly for many years, some may arrive dead.
Second warning, SSD's should achieve around 450mb/s read and write. The one I received managed 250mb/s, but does appear to slow as the drive fills, so once you start filling it up, you may notice a considerable slow down. This is partly down to a lack of advanced components inside.
Third warning, SSD's benefit from a DRAM cache to speed up writing. This drive does not have this. It claims to have a cache, but it's essentially a very small microSD card inside the SSD. Considerably slower and too small to be useful, so it might as well not have a cache at all.
Final warning, well that's it. SSD's have two jobs. Speed and reliability, and this drive achieves neither.
That said, it is better than some of the other Chinese brands on amazon, and uses better refurbished parts, so no more or less likely to fail, but will be better while it lasts.
If you need a basic SSD for non essential files as cheap as possible, get this. Example, I wouldn't install Windows on it because it might fail, and won't be loads faster, but as a 2nd storage drive for data that would benefit from a speed boost (games, photos if you have a backup, etc.), it's the cheapest solution.
I personally used it as a 2nd drive for my ps4 (other better SSD's are 240gb but the ps4 has a 250gb minimum), hoping to get games to load quicker (can redownload if the drive dies), and I haven't noticed a speed improvement, but if it is giving me 2 seconds per game/level, it'll have been worth the £26.
UPDATE, just seen a Kingston 240gb SSD for £29 on Amazon. Unless like me where it has to be 256gb, get the Kingston.
First of all, it is securely packaged, arriving in a blister pack and also amazon outer packaging. Once opened it was a breeze to slot into my USB SATA docking bay. I initially plugged it into a laptop to format it and test that it all worked correctly, and it did, so I then plugged it into the Xbox. The Xbox recognized it immediately and allowed me to format the drive for use with games. This took a little time to do, this was down to the Xbox and the aging docking bay, rather than a fault of the drive , and once it was completed, it allowed me to access the drive without any problems and transfer things to it a much faster speed than the old WD and Seagate drives. The drive has also improved the stuttering and freezing problems which I was encountering, and so far I have not seen any issues of this re-occurring, and all games and apps that I have transferred from the old drives to the new SSD appear to be loading faster and running a lot smoother.
In summary, when i need another SSD, I will certainly consider another one of this brand (possibly at a higher capacity depending on what I need it for) as so far it offers serious Bang-For-Buck performance and capacity
