Like many other reviews, I found the first few chapters a bit slow and difficult to really get into. You have to persevere with the book in order to get the most out of it. Having read The Internet of Things (The MIT Press Essential Knowledge series) I found this a harder read and less engrossing. That isn't to say it isn't good, it is just a harder read and needs to be read over the course of a few days or weeks rather than all at once. It is very interesting and is a well researched book with lots of references and quotes from pioneers and critics in the field.

The later chapters of the book are very interesting and thought provoking. Having read this book and others, I now feel more informed about the Internet of Everything, including the positives and the impact it is having and will have. Do I really want all this data about me and my actions monitored and tracked? I'm not so sure. Do I really need to control my house remotely? Maybe not, but its pretty cool.

So if your are interested in technology and the connected world, give it a read, it will educate you, and make you think. Just ensure you don't give up in the early chapters.

Very good introduction to all things IoT (pun intended) ... It's not 'too techy', but some basic knowledge of computer & cellular networking would help the reader understand some of the concepts and key points that the authors make about where this technology is taking society. Even if you don't have any prior knowledge, I would recommend you read it as it’s an ideal springboard into the world of finding out what all these IoT, M2M, M2H etc. acronyms mean.
What I also liked about it was that it’s a fairly short book and I tip my hat to the authors for this because I do not get a lot of time to read and for this reason, I'm giving it 5 stars. They don't labour over any points unnecessarily before they move onto the next area of investigation (at a swift pace I should add) and the books inevitable conclusion.

Really interesting and thought provoking content, especially as the book moves on. This is a great book for people in the tech space, but for general entrepreneurial minds it may not be the easiest read particularly in the early chapters.

This is a very well written book that takes a practical approach through examples from industry. The book defines clearly what the different areas and their relationship to each other. This is an excellent choice to understand what IoT is about quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
