Richard Leviton is perhaps the foremost writer on geomancy today. Geomancy refers to the science/psychic art of interacting with what is variously called sacred sites, ley lines, the Light Grid, and Earth energies. He is a prolific writer, and many of his books are long in length, so the question arises, "Where to start?" Having read several of his books on geomancy (he also writes in the alternative and natural health field), I find you could start with just about any of his books and get the overall picture. I would recommend starting with Signs on the Earth, because it applies his theory (geomantic world model) to very significant world events happening on the periphery of, and challenging, the conventional materialist world paradigm, signs heralding a historically important shift in consciousness, in a way that illustrates how the Light Grid interfaces with physical reality. In addition, this book is short, a mere 250 pages, compared to his other tomes that are often easily twice the length. Another good place to start is with one of his autobiographies, which relate one of the most interesting and relevant spiritual apprenticeships of our times. You can also peruse his website at Blueroomconsortium.
I hesitate to call Leviton's model a theory, for it is more than that. If you have ever had the opportunity to read the secondary level of Indian scriptures, such as the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, or the Puranas, you may find, as I do, that Leviton's geomantic books are of the same genre, a revelation for our times. It is not a coincidence, for example, that the spiritual influence on the Mahabharata's author, Vyasa, came from Ganesha, and these, often referred to by their biblical name, the Ofanim (an order of angels), are the same influence on Leviton. Leviton's book is not a channeled work, although the Ofanim do instruct and guide Leviton in his personal journey as a hierophant of the planet's spiritual dimension, and Leviton, trained as a fast note-taking journalist, provides quotes. His description of these angels brings them out from obscurity into a central role in managing creation. Leviton's geomantic books are a synthesis of revelation (the Ofanim's teachings), his own clairvoyant exploration of sacred sites around the world, and his impressive scholarship of myth and the mystical teachings of the perennial philosophical traditions. Those readers who have studied mythology will be rewarded by fresh insights and interpretations of the meaning of myth. In my opinion, Leviton takes our understanding of myth to the next level beyond the Jungian contributions. Eliade provided us with a religio-philosophical key, Jung the psychological key, and Leviton's work is the metaphysical key to understanding our mythic heritage.
Why are ETs visiting our planet? One explanation Leviton gives us is that Earth has some sacred sites that are rare in the Milky Way Galaxy, and more advanced galactic races come here for pilgrimage. It is a pity that we are ignorant of and neglect these sites, so appreciated by our off-planet visitors.
