Sick City Syndrome

Oh my word, I loved this book. I hadn’t previously read any of Peter Sutton’s work, but I will very soon be reading everything he has written and will wait with increasing impatience for anything else he produces. Rarely does a work of modern fiction have me hooked as this one did. I found that I had to set myself a strict daily number of minutes of reading, otherwise I would have done nothing else.

I have no intension of giving any plot away; you should read it for yourself. But if you like intrigue with a touch of the paranormal, a very well developed plot and a burning desire to find out what happens next Sick City Syndrome is for you.

The book made me think. It made me challenge what I have always accepted as truth. And it made me explore ideas I had never before considered. Any book that can do those things has pride of place on my already overburdened book shelves.

Wow, well, where to start. Firstly I enjoyed this book immensely, it is well paced and well written with an engaging storyline. I really felt Susan's confusion and determination!
I won't look at abandoned buildings the same way ever again!

A glorious, thrilling, mind-bending adventure. Peter Sutton introduces the reader to a world very similar to our own on first glance, but dig a little deeper and you'll find a disconcerting dissonance in the tenets of reality. Recommended.
