There is very little literature on this sensitive and difficult subject. I found this book to be well researched and straight forward forward to read. It was a useful as I work within a children and families team.

5.0 out of 5 stars Readable book on difficult subject 9 May 2017
By Timneh - Published on Amazon.com

Pretty accessible though not really written for lay man. Each category explored could use its own book, but this is a solid place to begin. There seems to be a paucity of information on this subject published.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much needed resource 17 Jan. 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Sibling Abuse provides a very much needed resource for clinicians. I especially appreciate Dr. Caffaro's systemic and distinctly non-pathologizing approach to the painful dynamics involved in these cases. Illustrating with multiple case studies, Dr. Caffaro describes several different patterns of sibling abuse and shows us how to successfully engage the family in addressing the underlying issues. I have shared this book with many of my supervisees, and, although it is written for clinicians, I have encouraged some of my clients to read it as well. Dr. Patricia Papernow, Psychologist

By Kathy King - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a book for academicians and probably is of interest to those who are interested in statistics and an overall academic look at sibling abuse. It is not meant for those who want to explore in detail the specifics of different types of sibling abuse, the personalities and feelings of various abusers, what problems specific abusers face, the personalities and feelings of the abused, and the future impact of the abused. There are simply not a lot of in depth studies of particular individuals.

Well written and very helpful - an area that's not often addressed in training.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterful. Must read. 4 Oct. 2014
By Dr. Andalibian - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Dr.Caffaro has masterfully written a very important book. I walked away with deep knowledge of trauma but it was so much more that. Multilayered and beautifully told. Highly recommend.
