I LOVE Cardeno C, absolutely adore the work that is produced, I just wish they were longer! 70 pages is not enough for me!
After 12 years, Rafi comes face to face with his high school bully, Isaac. Rafi wants nothing to do with Isaac, but his is stubborn in his pursuit of Rafi. All is not as it seemed to be in high school though, and a heart to heart makes Rafi see all the things he never saw before, not that Isaac was a bully, but Isaac did many kinder things to Rafi than he remembered.
This little book is an hour reading time (for me anyway) of deliciousness, sweetness, sexiness and all sorts of other things, all rolled into a jam packed 70 pages.
I just want more. I ALWAYS want more, I know, but we only get Rafi, no Isaac! Nothing at all, so that, and the fact it is so short, is why it gets 4.5 stars and not 5. I'm sorry, but I gotta stick to my guns on this one. Like I said, I always want more, and more is POV from both (all, even) main characters.
I loved the about face that Rafi does, after Isaac talks to him, really talks to him, about what he remembers from high school, and I loved that Isaac sort of moves himself in while he is in town.
so, 4.5 stars

My feelings for this book are mixed but in the end I decided that as it was a FICTION book, I'd go with the flow and try to ignore the whole stalker anthem going on and instead try to look at it from a romantic perspective instead.
This is a novella and as happens so often, you have to have things move on VERY quickly because otherwise it would be a novel. That is what happens with this book. Rafi goes from hating Isaac to sleeping with him and being fantastically in love, almost in the space of a page.
There are bits that I didn't like so much as compared to Cardeno C's other works but that still didn't stop me from enjoying this book. My advice to anyone wanting to read this Marmite book is to blithely ignore the parts you don't like and thoroughly enjoy the parts you do. It worked for me!

C. Cardeno is a one of my favourite authors in this genre, and even if it were 1,000 pages long, I would want more! The writing style is so smooth and free-flowing that a short story really does pass in a moment - but it is a very enjoyable sports based, second chance love story.
This is a really cute, funny and very sexy read. Rafi has not seen his school tormentor for a dozen years, but it turns out that he maybe didn't have the story quite right ... Can Isaac show him, and straighten out the story? He is most definitely persistent! Amazing how much can be packed into a short story - including plenty of hot, delicious intimacies!

The characters in this book are what you could call made for each other and you can tell that from the start. They do end up with each other at the end. Read morePublished on 6 May 2014 by Ejatu
