Ordered this in 36E: far too small at the back, couldn't even get it on; returned. Meanwhile, 38F in another Shock Absorber style (Ultimate Running Bra, another new version of an old favourite) appeared to fit comfortably, but proved unsupportive and shapeless once moving - cups too big to hold still. So I re-ordered this one in 38D (38DD not available in black): again, very small in the back, could only just do it up on widest hook with a struggle and back-fat bulging unattractively on top; but cups are a bit small under the armpits and band gapes between the breasts at the front (see photo of slim model in the white version).
I know from the old one that this is an excellent support bra when it fits properly; but am now at a loss to know which size to order - 38DD/E, or 40D? Frustrated!
I totally recommend, and the only negative thing I have to say is that initial tightness, but if you can push through it, it will fit perfectly, feel comfortable, and hold everything where it needs to be without digging in at the shoulders.
I love the 'seamless' appearance it gives under clothing & the perfect no-bounce support, ( very cleverly designed, well done Shock Absorber!) I would always like to wear this style , but PLEASE NOTE, my request of hoping the shape is maintained by manufacturers, as with increased cup-sizes, recently they seem to make it slightly different now..& making our bust-line look wider/ apart, instead of the usual fuller rounded shape, we have been!
i previously wore this bra in 32 G which seemed tight in underband, was fine in other smaller sizes in previous years/ since over a decade! but in recent years this bra has comes up small in under-bust band, so ordered in a 34 G. but its also coming up very high in underarm where material is digging in a bit..? for these reasons Which will be exchanged if available one size down.
