This book is an insightful and enjoyable look at great Newcastle centre-forwards past and present. Paul Joannou understands the passion for the beautiful game in the North-East and it comes across in his writing. It also features a foreword from the greatest Newcastle No. 9 of all time - Big Alan Shearer. A must for fans of the Toon and football alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars HEAVEN FOR FANS OF THE TOON 23 Feb. 2006
By KEN SCOTT author - Published on
Format: Paperback
I'm keen to review as many Newcastle writers and Newcastle themed books, I've been once or twice to the city and it's something special. This one has to be in there.

A nostalgic look at the heroes we have cheered on from the terraces of St James's.

Jackie Milburn, Shearer, Macdonald, Hughie Gallagher, they're all there. A must for all Newcastle fans.

Well written through our up & down years. Great history of our legends, beloved football club and SJP in Geordie land.
