Good but could have been so much better
on 10 June 2014
Ideally i would have given this book 3.5 stars, as this book reads well, and in general is a good ending to the series. I have read all of this series and have enjoyed them, the only thing letting it down for me is that this could have evolved into so much more. We hear about the genetic experiments carried out - what happened to the others, are there others out there, meeting some more of these would have made a great story? Also Simon visits the 'lab' to find evidence, yet all we hear about this is from Silver's point of view sat in the prison - what! couldn't we have seen the action and what happened, instead we get soppy love stories from Justus. I liked the part finding out about Silver's father, but again, this could have had much more, and we could have found out earlier in the series. The section in the court house was great, the book could have benefitted from more from this angle rather than constantly reviewing Logan's body / looks / hair / how Silver feels for him - we get it!
So overall the series is worth reading, but i felt this last book was disappointing, though does tie in all the loose ends from the other books.
