I saw this on BBC1 late one night and the review was poor. I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its light hearted and fun and also sweet. Some very funny bits and has become one of my fave films. Plain man falls for beauty and surprisingly she feels the same. Laughs n mishaps ensue before the penultimate romantic ending. Well worth a watch.

This was a shot in the dark, but it paid off. It turned out to be very pleasant, very enjoyable and very amusing, with quite a few laugh-out-loud moments.

It's one of those films where the characters all work well together and are all likeable in their own way, unlike other so-called comedies I've seen recently. The dorky lead guy, Kirk, is a definite 5 out of 10 at best, yet a definite 10 girl falls for him. I liked the girl, because she came across as a genuine decent person, despite her obvious physical, financial and social advantages.

Kirk's friends are all decent enough, not offensive in any way, which seems to be more the norm nowadays. I especially liked gentle Devon, who quoted Disney films and was so excited when a girl called him hot.

The film reminded me a little of Ferris Bueller and Adventureland, sitting somewhere between the two and is one of the most enjoyable of this type of young love comedy. Compared to Hot Tub Time Machine, which we watched recently, this is streets ahead and so much more fun.

First and foremost a comedy, this movie really grabbed me at the start and never let go. The story fairly zinged along, helped in no small part by an excellent script and by a great cast, all on top form. I guess that has to be huge credit to the Director, Jim Field Smith, who's new to me, as were many of the cast, apart from Alice Eve, who is sort of unforgettable once you've seen one of her films. In this one, as a bonus she's cast alongside her actual parents, Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan - who are playing her character's parents in the film.

The hero Kirk, played by Jay Baruchel carried the film for me, along with his friends at the Airport. The characters, Stainer and Devon are big parts and both actors, TJ Miller and Nate Torrance really lifted this movie up and away from the ordinary. Their, at times appalling advice to their pal Kirk had me rolling about, but their feeling and concern for their buddy came across as genuine, adding hugely to the warmth of the movie.

'Cos the story plays out from Kirk's side, we get little really about Eve's character Molly, and perhaps a little more with her and her hilariously rude side-kick partner, Patty (Krysten Ritter) would have plugged that gap. But it's not really a criticism of what was a hugely enjoyable film.

A good fun movey, An airport security guard gets involved with a girl who's very obviously of a higher calibre than himself, and schemes to make the relationship last as his friends and family watch along in disbelief. Kirk (Jay Baruchel) was languishing in a dead-end job as an airport security agent when he somehow managed to earn the affections of the successful and drop-dead gorgeous Molly (Alice Eve). Even Kirk isn't exactly sure what Molly sees in him, though he's willing to do whatever it takes to make the relationship work. With his friends, family, and ex-girlfriend all watching stunned from the sidelines, Kirk discovers that he'll have to work overtime in order to convince Molly that he's worth hanging on to. worth a buy.

She's Out of My League is essentially a rom-com aimed more at a male audience than your Sex and the City crowd and to do that, it does its best to avoid a conventional route. Of course, with this being your typical "boy girl fall in love against the odds" movie, it is impossible to avoid some of the usual scenes that fill this genre. Thankfully however, the cast, which includes Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter, are well suited for their roles and there is a good mix of characters with Nate Torrance's Devon of particular note. Dialogue is funny throughout, if nothing new, and their are some funny situations, the best of which revolving around a case of premature ejaculaton. If you like these sorts of comedies, you can do a lot worse than She's Out of My League, which, although nothing fresh, is funny enough to keep you entertained throughout. Recommended. 3.5/5

I love this film! I normally hate romantic comedies, but I watched this on Sky Anytime for the sake of it, and have now watched it ten times in a week. I literally spend every minute of the film with a smile on my face, it's brilliant. Not your typical cheesy rom-com in my opinion.

I really, really, really, love this film! I'm not really sure why, I think it's the relationship the two main characters have for each other, and how you really want them to get together. Mostly though I just like it because it's a comedy and it's sure to put me in a good mood. I don't really want to say any more else I'll spoil it for you, watch it for yourself!
