Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Although not the most modern of books or the most colourful of formats, it is packed with comprehensive, practical and helpful information simply explained by people who know and the "Countryside Series" is always reliable.

I purchased this for my daughter and husband who were contemplating sheep-rearing. From them, I gather it has been very useful and given them a great deal to consider. It pulls no punches. It is also possible to use it as a reference text as well as a general guide.

We are new to sheep - just about to start with a small Rare Breed Flock (Ryelands). Wanted to get a couple of books that would help as Reference Points if we needed them. I like this book. Small, concise and to the point. It's just about right for me - not too intense or technical

I expected this to be good as it is a national trust book and I guess someone may find it useful so I gave it 1☆ but for me as a new foster mum for a lamb it was useless therefore I sent it back and would not give it any ☆
