A really enjoyable a in some places a fun-filled read; good storyline but worth reading the series in order.

5.0 out of 5 stars a pleasant surprise 15 Jan. 2012

as you might have noticed there are some reviews that said Sheala is a repeat of Brianna so i was very apprehensive about paying for this book. i found that only about 8% of Brianna was repeated and it came from a different perspective. i loved the story and i felt the emotions Sheala and Marljas go through are very believable. overall a great read, and i can't wait for the next book in the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story line 13 Jan. 2012

Read other reviews and am a bit confused... Book is about a different character than Brianna book. Yes, events overlap, but they are told from from another character's perspective. Two people going to the same concert will hear the same songs, but won't have the same experience. When events overlap, Sheala's viewpoint is different and goes in a different direction of the storyline.

I thought the storyline was sweet at times and I like main characters who fight for what they want. I liked it. I'm not sure if the author is planning more books, but I hope so, because I'd like to know what happens to some of the other characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sheala (Celestial Passions) 5 Jun. 2014
By Romantic at Heart - Published on Amazon.com

I could not decide between 3.5 stars and 4 stars. So just gave it 4 stars. It was a good book, however with that being said, I did not think there was really enough time spent on Sheala and Marljas relationship. Also they give you more information on parts that were in Brianna's book, and then throw in a couple pages of what you have already read in her book. So it was new information mixed in with old thru probably a third of the book. Also in Brianna's book I viewed Sheala as too young. That continued through this book for me. Hard to get into the book, when I feel the heroine is a teenager and acts like one. I liked Marljas in Brianna's book, but sometimes I think he came off as too young as well in this book. I am not really into books about guys that look part animal, nor am I into cyborgs, vampires, or shape shifters, but this was not bad. I read this one because I liked the first book and thought to continue the series. I am really bumped she never did Ban's book. They set you up for it and it never happens. It was pretty much stated in Brianna's book that Ban would find his love on earth. Plus they never resolve the whole thing of going to back to earth and getting the orcs and the dols. This is the second author I have read lately that has not finished the series and instead turned to the short novellas where they can charge you and arm and a leg. So to say I am really disappointed is an understatement. Also this is not erotica even though it is listed as erotica.

Sex content medium.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good read but does repeat Brianna's story 11 Jan. 2012

The book was a good book and could have been a lot better if the story was developed more, I would love to see a rewrite or a continuation of this series, there seriously cannot be just three books in this series when there was a plethora of characters introduced in this book and Brianna's story. I agree with other reviewer's, Brianna's book should have been the book you had to pay for and this one a freebie. Although the books are written several years apart, there is no need to repeat so much of what was written in Brianna's book, a quick overview would have sufficed. I do look forward to more books in the CP series but without so much repeat of information from the previous books. If the author just picks up from the end of the last book and have a flashback or prologue it would generate more interest in buying the other books in the series.

The one thing I really liked about her books is the interracial or inter-planetary relationships. The various shades of the characters and the prejudice that exists in each tribe gives the story a more real and interesting twist. You read how each tribe overcomes their own way of seeing things and accepts different people. Interesting read and the erotic scenes are in line with Ellora's Cave writings but her books have more of a plot. This author and Jaid Black are two of my fav's from the Ellora's Cave books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another entertaining read 8 Feb. 2012

First of all, there are some repeats, but the part of the book that is covered in Brianna's story is only 1/3 and the rest takes place where her's leaves off. However, there really wasn't THAT much word-for-word repetition, and was easy to skip through, so I didn't find this to be a big deal at all. Which is good because I was hesitant to pay $7. Also, the book is nearly as long as Brianna's, so that helps a little with the price. I was sucked into the world and wanted to read more about it. Shela isn't as good as a heroine as Brianna, but she would be hard to follow up. The conflict between the hero and heroine was about her overcoming the emotional aspects of rape. The story continues the hilarious moments.
