His two-part series on the Patriot War, published by The History Press (US), documents a little known border war between British colonial Canada and the United States.
Shaun's most recent foray was into science fiction. Beginning in 2017, he released a series of novelettes set in the future about a special agent that protects intelligent alien species from the ravages of ever-expanding humanity.
A researcher, journalist and technical writer for over thirty years, with a master's degree in journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa, Shaun lives on a hobby farm in Eastern Ontario. Now a semi-retired freelance writer, he focuses on fiction and nonfiction writing projects.
