The story continues and we witness more character development. The group bond is growing and setting us up for future adventures. The alien story is still very much there, lingering in the background. The author giving away only snippets here and there.
The book has a good length to it and feels very well thought out. It is more of an adventure story within a sci-fi setting rather than a purely sci-fi/military novel - and better for it.
All I can say that I can wait for the next one (but I guess I will have to!)
Big thanks to the author and looking forward to future books.

The main characters (Cal and the gang) are intriguing and the more you get to know them, the more you want to be around them.
You root for them to succeed in whatever adventures and/or adversities that are thrown their way.
The worlds visited and the populace in them are interesting and diverse, if not sometimes pure evil, like some in the prison,
the pirate queen and the Insidions.
Hopefully this will be a long series and I am looking forward to all of the books in it.
This book could have been told in 200 pages or less, but it drug on for 419 pages. I do not recommend this book.
