Pre Bon Jovi this is Richie Sambora at his rawest. There are a mix of influences KISS being the most prominent on some of the tracks. Fairly good rock tunes that'll have you bobbing your head along to them. Some of the songs sound like they're too close to the mic so its hard to understand the lyrics but overall a good double album.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Evolution of Richie Sambora Documented 22 Feb. 2015
By Sweetbooks - Published on Amazon.com

This double album is better than the Message album (found elsewhere on Amazon) because you get three things: more songs, better quality songs, and Sambora on vocals on multiple tracks. Sambora's playing is so much better on these discs than on the earlier Message albums, but obviously not yet to the level he'd be playing on Bon Jovi I and 7800 Fahrenheit. If anything these discs reinforce the greatness of the band Bon Jovi- the blending of Richie and Jon's songwriting. Jon's obviously a better vocalist than Foster too. By the way, Jon, whose early demo Powerstation Years, is nowhere near the work of (or enjoyable) than the Shark Frenzy discs.

The tracks Richie Sambora sings on: Southern Belle (best song on the album! This song alone is worth the purchase), A Good Life, I Need Your Love
Some fun rocking tracks to note: Live Fast…, The Ones with Angel Eyes
Some softer more sentimental tracks: Nobody, I'll Play the Fool
Two Beatles covers: Birthday and Golden Slumbers (both well done)

This is a band that could have been produced in the right direction, but obviously had a different fate.
