I was amazed to see the volume of work she left behind, and eagerly ordered the titles available.
Very impressed. Worth accurately captures the realities of working class life in the 1950s East End of London. She doesn't sugar coat anything, and some of this is fairly tough to read through as a result. There were some tears as I read through this!
How sad that Mrs Worth didn't live to see the success of her literary works.
Very enlightening and a crucial part of recent social history.
