At long last we finally see the ending we want for Justice and her boys! The plot does thicken and the action never stops in this book. The characters are thrown another set of trials in this installment and to see how they get on and work through it together is quite extraordinary. The development of the characters themselves have come into fruition and they are real, tangible people that you really come to care for.
We have quite a nice and tidy clean up with the ending of the story, but there is also room for another book or two. Most of the endings have been sewn up and it never once felt fake or rushed. I really do recommend this series and author as I feel you get everything you could possibly want and are never left dissatisfied!
The only reason this book didn’t get 5 stars is because I’m still confused as to what Indie did at the end of this book and would have liked this explored further. Thankfully DC doesn’t plan on ending the series here; of course I want to know what happens with Harmon. 4½ stars
We see indigo come into her own in this book and except her self for who she really is , Her relationship with Kash blossoms as well as her relationship with her other lovers.
But all is not as it seems and we see allies and enemies come together to fight the real threat not only to the academy and the magic realm but also to the human realm as well, will indigo be able to keep those she loves safe and rally everyone together to win this war, Will she be able to find Brady and bring him home in one piece and will they ever find a cure for Harmon?
This series has been Fantastic and I have loved the academy and all the characters.
My only criticism is there are still certain things left unanswered, so a branch off story or Novella by Debbie Cassidy to wrap them up would be amazing
You always know what you're going to get with Debbie, and that is a damned good action packed, kick ass urban fantasy read, with a RH bonus on the side.
Indigo has a lot on her plate and I loved seeing her step up, kick ass and take charge. Her growth from the start of book 1 has been excellent. She is also refreshingly doesn't run around making stupid decision, like you see with a lot of heroines, and thinks with her head here a lot.
What I was the most delighted about was the way her relationship with Hyde develops here. He's always been my favourite, despite his assholeish behaviour in book 2, and I really liked the direction it went in.
If you've loved this series then I really think you'll love this conclusion!
Some very heartfelt and action packed scenes and some shocking revelations kept this bookwyrms attention till the very end.
For something advertised as an academy book it isn't your usual academy structured type book which is why I enjoyed it so much.
Nothing like some destruction and monster battling outside of the academy setting to make a great series.
Some open ended possibilities with some of the supporting characters promise more fun in this world to come.
This book like the other in the series are brilliantly written, the world Debbie Cassidy has created is so well thought out and excellently written to the point where you can imagine the world she has created for these characters.
