I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!

The day that Tristan Morrow was born her mother went missing and the investigation fails to turn up any leads. After so many years the case goes cold. Fifteen years later a simple class assignment asking Tristan to write a biography on her mother leads to Tristan uncovering the truth about her mother’s fate. With this revelation she is determined to find out exactly who was responsible for her mother’s death. When Tristan gets too close to uncovering the truth she ends up missing and everyone is a suspect, even her own father and boyfriend.

A web of lies, deceit, corruption and total madness is unravelled in rural Fox Hollow. Will the investigators crack the case before Tristan meets the same fate as her mother? And exactly who is responsible for the disappearances? There is a lot of uncertainty as the investigation unfolds but the one thing for sure is that Tristan Morrow holds the key to this entire crazy riddle.

Tristan never knew her mother and although it’s fifteen years too late, she now knows more about her mother than is safe for her to know. With her own life now at risk her family will stop at nothing to get her back and see those responsible pay for their crimes. There is more to this story than just the disappearance of Catherine Morrow…

This story is full of so much suspense it’s hard to know where to start. Addison Kline portrays each of her characters perfectly, you can really feel their personality come out in the dialogue. Some of the characters you will love and some you will hate with an absolute passion! It’s portrayed very well just how close the Morrows are, even with a big secret that is kept hidden.

This was more going on in this book than I had initially anticipated but it was a whole heap of mystery all wrapped up with one very healthy dose of attitude.
Tristan grew up never knowing who her mother was, she had nothing to go on other that the communications of those around her and the meagre ministrations of her father but can she really believe what she has been forced to live with her entire life or will this curious girl find out that sometimes it pays to let sleeping dogs lie.
Tristian has always had her brothers and father but she has never known the touch of her mother’s love, the bond that lies between a little girl and her momma, so when a school project requires a little digging into her background, she is left staggered when she uncovers that her father has been far from honest.
So what happens when you open a can of worms that has had its lid wedged closed for years, well Tristian is about to find out!
Honestly when the story started to unfold, I was gingerly turning the pages wondering what secret was going to rear its ugly head next. And when Tristan is kidnapped, I couldn’t help but wonder just how far things were going to plummet.
The dirtiest secrets of a town that has much to hide slowly begin to surface and it was one heck of a ride all the way to the end. It wasn’t only the Morrow family that were caught up in all the subterfuge, there were other members of this close knit community that had cause to be concerned.
I loved the way the story flitted back and forth between events that had shaped the past and present day, the details popped and the author brought not only all of the characters but the whole town to life.

Shadow Dancer - Addison Kline - 4 Stars

Tristan is 15 years old and she has grown up having never known her mum or where she's gone or what's happened. Her English teacher at school sets her an assignment to write a biography of a family member 'her mum'. Very soon she learns what happened to her mum and she has to stay strong to make sure the same fate doesn't lie with her too.

I'm not sure whether it's just me, but it took me a long time to get into this book - I felt there was too much background to begin with and too many characters to keep up with. Having said that once it all kicked off, wow - absolutely brilliant. Some amazing twists, turns and dramas - most of which I didn't see coming! The mystery and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt that I went from one extreme to another with this book - firstly I was struggling to connect then bam! I was so hooked I really couldn't put this down and ended up reading until the very end. Apart from a slow beginning, I really enjoyed this book and especially loved Tristan and Detective DiNolfo's characters and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good mystery/suspense novel.

When I picked this book up to read I certainly wasn't expecting this wonderful story.

This is one of them books where I'm really stuck on how to review it. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone so this review will be a brief one.

Tristan is given an assignment at school to write about her mum. Learning the truth about her mum changes everything.

Brilliant romantic thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns were amazing and unpredictable. Loved this story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

HASH(0x8e167bdc) out of 5 stars Hands down the best book so far of 2014 in my opinion 14 Sept. 2014
By Hikeallegheny - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Hands down the best book so far of 2014 in my opinion. I knew very little about this book when I first got the chance to review it, but after a little poking around I was sold. It took no time to experience first hand the writing style the grips you from the beginning and keeps your well past the end. The story was written so well and the way all of the characters are connected was truly amazing. Addison Kline is truly a gifted storyteller and I can honestly say I will be recommending this book to others.

Raven: secret keepers according to the Celts. What a secret the raven has to bare after he met Catherine.......

We met Catherine’s daughter Tristan years later and she has been given the assignment to create a biography none other than her dead mother. Tristan knows little if anything about her mother and that is just the way her father intended to keep it. At this same time we met Mr. Kendricks and what a creepy feeling I had about him from the very beginning. Tristan has quite the support system behind her and as the truth begins to unfold things come to a full force as if the past is going to repeat itself. The connection between everyone in her life was truly amazing and only got stronger once they faced extreme challenges. The biggest question is will the entire cast of characters be able to learn from their past and embrace it all to come out on the other side of the shadows surrounding the family?

Favorite Quotes:

“I’ve learned several major lessons from her. First, be careful who you trust. Second, when you love, love with all your heart. And thirdly, when you believe in something, fight with all your might until there is no fighting left to be done. Live life with courage, and with faith.”

HASH(0x8e167c30) out of 5 stars Shadow Dancer is Freaking amazing!!! 12 Sept. 2014
By Cecily Bonney - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Let me start by saying thank you to Addison Kline for asking and wanting me to be your beta reader. I enjoyed every moment of reading Shadow Dancer. Thank you!

Now Jack Morrow is a man with a haunted soul. He lost the love of his life and the mother of his five children. Jack may be raw but he truly has a heart of gold.

Catherine was Jack’s wife but sadly she dies shortly after giving birth to her beautiful baby girl, Tristian. And no she didn’t die from giving birth, if that is what you were wondering.

So, Liam, Adam, Tommy, Blake, and Tristian are Jack and Catherine’s children. They are not the only characters in this book so please keep in mind that there are a lot more to just them and I will not and cannot go into detail on all of them. Plus you need to get to know them yourself. So if you want to know more on any of the Shadow Dancer characters pick up the book and start reading. You won’t regret it.

Now I will give you just a peek into the world of Tristian, the youngest of the Morrow children.

Mr. Kendrick’s is Tommy, Blake, and Tristian’s English teacher. He has each of them do an assignment that involves writing about different family members. And the family he has chosen Tristian do a report on is her mother. Well as we know her mother died. But Tristian was never told of what happened and has always thought her mother just up and left without even a kiss goodbye. So how is she supposed to do a report on a woman she has come to hate? Will she find out the truth about her mother? And how will that affect Tristian and her feelings about Catherine?

I will tell you this; there are a lot of secrets buried within in this family. And until now no one has ever thought to dig up those secrets and share them. That is until Tristian was assigned this impossible assignment. Come check out Addison Kline’s book now and see what secrets are reveled.

This book was so freaking amazing it caught and held my attention from beginning to end. It took me only two days to read but only because I had to work and read the book in two parts. Even as I read I would message Addison and tell her what I thought about each character. I even cried like a baby in the second to the last chapter and I am not ashamed to admit that. Addison will get you so hooked on this story you will feel like she’s been holding onto a secret herself. Shadow Dancer was such an amazing story that I can sincerely tell you, I am so ready to read book two!

Addison you did an amazing job with this book. I loved it!! Thank you again.

HASH(0x8e89966c) out of 5 stars Very enjoyable story. 8 Oct. 2014

A very enjoyable read. I was a bit confused at first with some of the characters, places, and happenings but once I settled "into" this story, I realized this was going to be an impressive read and it was.

The story takes us to meet the Morrow Family through it's losses, strengths, the hidden lies, or truths. depending on who is talking, or filling in the back story. The mystery and suspense keeps you reading and turning pages as quickly as you can.

Before you start reading, make sure you have time because it captures your mind, sucks you in, and before you know it, you have been reading for hours.

I would recommend this book and gladly give it 5 stars.

HASH(0x99fc057c) out of 5 stars Shadow Dancer has so many beautiful layers. It is such an involved story 15 Nov. 2015
By theb1tch - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Shadow Dancer has so many beautiful layers. It is such an involved story, spanning generations. I totally adored this story. There may be triggers for some people...

All the drama begins with a school project.... No... In all honesty it began long before that, but the project is the catalyst for this story, and the unravelling of things from the past.... You wouldn't expect that something as simple as writing a project about a family member would raise long dead ghosts and throw an entire family into chaos... And yet ... It does.

I want to tell you everything and absolutely nothing. This is such an exciting story with twists and turns and engaging characters. It is full of lies and cover ups, death and intrigue, and most importantly... Love and family. Our connections to those we love and those that love us and what we would do for them. To protect them.... To save them .... Would you kill? .... Would you be prepared to die?

Fifteen year old Tristan Morrow is tasked with writing a report about her mother. The only problem is ... She has never known the woman who gave birth to her. Tristan has been told that her mother is gone, which I suppose is true, but it just isn't that simple. Her father had always intended to tell his children the events surrounding the loss of their mother, but he was waiting for the right time .... I'm not sure when the right time is ... But he left it too late.

Some of the things that happen in this story would completely undo some people but this book is full of amazing, strong characters who don't back down. They stand and fight.. Together and separately. Tristan is brilliant and smart and what she lacks in age, she makes up for in sheer guts and determination. I would be proud to call her my daughter :) She can keep her head under pressure and she will do whatever she must in order to survive. Fortunately,Tristan has four older brothers and her father (Jack), has raised her very well. This means she has very strong foundations on which to stand.

Addison Klien creates a beautiful backdrop for her story. Lovely scenery and believable, wonderful characters. Some to love ... And some to hate.
I can't wait to begin the next book in this series. I highly recommend Shadow Dancer to anyone wanting an exciting 'Who Done It' and 'How & Why' read.

HASH(0x8e16a114) out of 5 stars Chilling, thrilling, multi generational mystery 27 Jan. 2015
By Shannan Neff - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This book had me alternating in confusion of what would happen, on the edge of my seat, excited, nervous, sad and thrilled. It was a wonderful suspense story told from multiple perspectives; which helped flesh out the story more. I could feel Catherine's fluxing emotions, the sorrow of Jack, Tristan's anger determination and strength, and terror at the insanity in Bernard...I'd definitely recommend this. But if you get freaked out easy...don't read this in the dark. It gets inside your head
