Format: Kindle Edition
"The Sexy & The Undead" by Charity Parkerson is a light-hearted, witty romance novel. The setting is imaginary, but the characters feel very real, despite (or because of?) the fact that they are witches, zombies and angels. They are well-drawn, interesting, memorable, and unique.

The seemingly unlikely but fun, steamy, and very real romance is between Ella and Samuel, a witch and an angel. That's exciting enough for most readers, right? But not exciting enough by Charity Parkerson's standards, so she adds Freddie in the mix. He's a secondary but important character. Freddie is Ella's pet zombie, and there's a problem with a curse that needs to be lifted before the story moves forward, or at least before the story moves forward in a way that would satisfy Ella. And she is not easy to satisfy.

What I enjoyed most about this book is the intersection and interweaving of the two stories: romance between Ella and Samuel, and Freddie's curse story. And, of course, the humor is always a great addition to a story. Here are a couple of my favorite lines:

"The light is for guidance and transcendence. But the dark is for protection and passion."

"I say we go fix up your room and make it all fit for your deliciousness again."

"I am pouring my heart out to you while you call me names and throw things at my head."

A fun story! Much more than just a romance novel.

Again not the type of book i usually read, but it did initially have elements i like fantasy and zombies. Great characters Ella, Samuel, Freddie and Tam. even Randel was an interesting character also. This story had humor was well written and can't wait for a next part in the series, lately this and a few others are swaying my views on a lot of books that i'm liking as there's more to these book than just descriptive sexual encounters especially when their well written by people like this.
definitely enjoyable and most rightly deserving of this 5* review, so glad i was gifted this book by Charity to read and review for her but now i want more....

The Sexy & The Undead (Sexy Witches)

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

The author has created a unique writing style in this clever story. What a wonderful fantasy land the writer has pulled us into with potions, zombies, angels, and pixies... what more could you ask for in a tale?

It is mystical, funny, giggly and even romantic in places. Full of adventure and fantasy in a world you just want to be inside. Slightly dark, sexy and erotic but with sarcasm, lust and crazy thrown in!

I really wanted it to be longer- can't wait for future writings from Parkerson.

A good 5*****

While cooking up a date for Valentine's Day, Ella Perry manages to pull an angel down from the heavens. However, Samuel the Dark is not angelic in the least.
Accompanied by his sidekick, Tam, Samuel finds that he cannot stay away from the quirky Ella, and he does everything he can think of to help her in her quest to find a cure for her zombie, Freddie.
Along with his growing attraction to Ella, Samuel's jealousy of Ella and Freddie's relationship also begins to grow.
Crazy characters, wild adventures, and a series of unfortunate events makes this book completely hilarious. A great start to a new series.

Some books are a party, and The Sexy & The Undead (Sexy Witches) by Charity Parkerson is certainly one the wildest. And when I say party, it means; cool and unusual characters, lots of humor, some rumor and romance, a bit of hot sex, (maybe more than a bit). And did I mention the unusual characters are very unusual, as in angels, fairies, pixies, witches, and zombies. As with any good party, the rest of the gossip can only be had if you actually go to the party. And I recommend that you do!
