Well this new series is off to a fabulous start!!! Enzo and Annie were amazing! I loved their banter, their chemistry, and I loved seeing them work together as a team! I loved the moments between the Mancini brothers, too. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of all of these characters in the next two White Collar Brothers books!!! SEXY FILTHY BOSS was sweet, super sexy, and was packed full of some seriously empowering moments!
This Book In 5 Words:
Steamy. Flirty. Intuitive. Empowering. Captivating.
What Did I Like:
- The characters. Annie and Enzo were amazing!!! She was smart, driven, and full of great ideas! She did have some insecurities though, and I loved seeing her character grow! Enzo was amazing, too!!! So sexy, so commanding...and then so, so, so doting and wonderful! Gah!
- The romance and sexy times. Enzo and Annie were soooo amazing together! Their banter was top-notch and their chemistry was off the charts! While all of Piper Rayne's books do have steam, some are steamier than others...and this one, this one is definitely one of the steamiest and it was perfection! I loved every minute of it!
- The family and friends. Piper and Rayne do fabulous side characters, and SEXY FILTHY BOSS was no exception! I loved seeing Enzo's brothers, his sister, and his parents, and I loved Annie's family and friends, too! I can't wait to see more of the group dynamics in the next two books...Carm's book is next! *wink, wink*
- The empowering female message. I absolutely loved how this story handled Annie's career! I didn't really think about how it would all go down before starting this story, but I loved what Piper and Rayne did with it! I also loved that we got to see it from both Annie's and Enzo's perspectives!
- The story and the writing! Again, these are always wonderful when it comes to a Piper and Rayne book, but I have to give them props because this book was an absolutely fantastic ride! I loved every minute of it!
What Didn't I Like:
- Nothing. I absolutely adored this book! There was one moment where I was a bit worried about Enzo's actions...but he turned it around for me right afterwards, so it all worked out. ;)
Read If You Like:
- Rom-coms with heart, steam, and a bit of a serious undertone. I was expecting this to be more of a flirty story with a side of forbidden romance...and it definitely had that, but it also had some pretty wonderful moments about women getting equal opportunities in the work place and being properly valued for their work, which I LOVED!!!
Overall, I loved SEXY FILTHY BOSS! It was packed full of fun, steam, and I was hooked from page one! I've yet to meet a Piper Rayne book that I haven't loved, but this one is way at the top of my faves list! Enzo and Annie were amazing, and their story was superb! Highly recommend, and since this is the start of a new trilogy, it's also a great intro point for Piper Rayne newbies...just saying! ;)
Annie is such a strong, loving and caring woman. I understand why Enzo fell in love with her and gave up his bachelor life.
Enzo was a a$$hole in the beginning but you see soon the other side of him. He is also a strong character, but also loyal, loving and caring to the ones who are important to him. He also saw that Annie is talented in her job and not only between the sheets. Don't get me wrong, he saw her talent at work long before they gave in to the chemistry to each other.
I only hated the one move he had done to Annie without telling her before. BUT, in return, he put on his big man panties, and turned down an offer he was waiting for so long.
You can feel the sizzling between them all the time. The sparks were setting my kindle into fire while their playful banter let me laugh out loud.
And here I am now, with an book hangover, and wishing I could be Enzo's Annie. *sigh*
I highly recommend this book to you if you want to laugh, swoon, drool (Enzo is really drool-worthy) and fan yourself.
Enzo had a singular focus, make partner at the ad agency he worked at and he was known for going through assistants on the daily due to his demands and work ethic. It's not until Annie was forced to step in and help fill his assistant's shoes for the day that things change. She refused to cater to his demands and called him on his BS.
I loved reading the dynamics of their interactions and how they evolved throughout the book in a timely manner.
Enzo took responsibility for his actions when Annie was wronged and made them right, not just out of love but because he owned the error of his past ways. I absolutely would recommend Sexy Filthy Boss to anyone who enjoys a good office romance, a sexy alpha male, a strong assertive female, and a good HEA.
These two absolutely clash from the beginning. Enzo has habits that Annie doesn't like such as having to take his laundry to the dry cleaners. Getting his coffee and his lunch. I mean, can't he do anything for himself?
Here comes the account that will force them to work together. It's the Coddle account. Coddle is known for it's personal products such as diapers and other baby products to tampons and condoms. As Annie comes to help Enzo he becomes more attracted to her each day as not only is she gorgeous, she has brains and a back bone. You also get to meet both Annie and Enzo's families. They are a hoot!!!
This story is so funny and at times so romantic that I want Enzo for myself. And how he acts whenever Annie says, "Please, Enzo!" OMG. That's all I've got to say. Quite the love scenes which I am also going to say are quite hot. Bring on the next bad boy Piper Rayne. I'm ready!
The story had a slow start and moved at a leisurely pace. I liked that the characters didn’t pounce on each other in the first second but it could have moved along a bit quicker.
The ending on the other hand was rather fast and as I mentioned above Annie forgave him almost without second thought even though I think that she overreacted anyway with how mad she was at him. I got the feeling that she had a hard time making up her mind about her emotions altogether.
Annie had the misfortune to cover for Mr. Mancini’s assistant – the last one that got fired anyway, since he didn’t seem to be able to keep one for long. In fear of getting fired herself soon, it surprised her how great it actually was to work for him. If it only weren’t for the sexual tension between them and the non-fraternization policy. She didn’t work so hard to get fired in the end instead of being promoted. Enzo was eager to make partner at the firm but he didn’t count on the irresistible assistant who he couldn’t seem to take his eyes away from.
Somehow I had a different picture of Enzo’s character from a previous book but I liked how confident he was and that although he was assertive and dominant in most regards, he was always fair and never mean. I really liked that about him, and also that he went after what he wanted though didn’t just take it but worked hard for it.
Enzo was a typical bachelor but this was luckily not shown in this book, though I knew it from his cousins’ stories. I was just not convinced how he suddenly wanted more when Annie became his secretary and he yearned for a family of his own.
I liked how the authors worked a very real and sadly still current topic into this story. Oppression of women is still very present in our world and this as well as women’s rights and their discrimination in our society and unequal treatment at their work places was picked up on in this book.
It was a pity though that Annie’s strained relationship with her mom wasn’t more elaborated.
What I really didn’t like in this book was how much attention the secondary characters got. I mean they were great and all but just took too much time away from the main characters and their story. There was just so much going on with his brothers and her friends/colleagues and family that Enzo and Annie came rather short. But all in all the book was a good read and I'm excited for the next one in this series.
Enzo Mancini is a hot shot Senior Ad Exec. who is on his was to becoming partner. But the guy can't keep an assistant to save his life. He may be all about his family, but when it comes to work he is all business. Until he is assigned a temporary assistant who not only pushes all his buttons, but challenges him in more ways than just in the office. He's not looking for a relationship or love for that matter, but the more time he spends with Annie, the more he begins to think that love and Annie are just what he needs in his life.
Annie is the assistant to another Senior Ad Exec. in the office, and is working towards becoming a Junior Ad Exec, then on to Senior! But as she is assisting Enzo and the opportunity for her to become Junior Ad Exec. , she is going to work her butt off to get it. But when she gets promoted, she still hasn't been receiving the benefits of her promotion because the higher ups are taking their sweet time in hiring her replacement.
Can she stick with a company who are so male oriented to reach her dreams and stay with the one man who gives her life the flutters?
This book was so great. Full of sexual tension, spit-fire heroine who knows what she wants, and a swoon worthy hero will do anything to not only keep the girl and make sure her dreams come true, but where he still can succeed with his goals in life.
I became a fan of Piper Rayne when I started reading their Blue Collar Brothers series and their books just keep getting better and better as I read them.
Enzo was a confirmed bachelor. He was too busy chasing his dream of making partner at the advertising firm he works for to even date a woman. He never expected Annie.
Annie is a lowly assistant waiting for her big break. She’s full of great ideas and just needs the opportunity to prove her worth. When she sees her chance, she’s ready to show just what she has to offer.
He’s not techinically her boss, but he is her superior...gray area. This office romance will bring you the heat! Annie and Enzo are everything you want in an office romance. The push and pull, the fight to resist their attraction and ultimately their fall.
The authors always give us great supporting characters that we cannot wait to know more about. All the Mancini’s are about to meet their forevers and I cannot wait! Annie and Enzo were a wonderful start to the series. I’m ready for more.
Annie has had a crush, along with every other female at her work place, on Lorenzo Mancini since the day she started working at the company. At this stage all she can do is dream about him and create all her sexual fantasies in her head, because their company has a 'No Fraternization' policy among co-workers, and he does not even know she exists. Until the day another of his assistant quits and she is made yo assist him last minute. Ooohlala, nothing has prepared her for working with her crush in such close proximity and the fireworks went off between them. Now her fantasies are playing out in her head while she is at work and she is trying her best to keep busy and not let out her secret.
Lorenzo's focus is to make partner and has remained goal oriented ever since he started working with his company. But with his cousins all in a relationship and getting married, his mother is putting pressure on him and his other two brothers to settle down, and they are doing everything possible to thwart her by trying to throw the focus on their sister. Everything started changing for him where relationships are concerned, when his company made Annie his assistant and he finds himself looking at her differently and having sexual fantasies of the two of them together. Then everything really went south when he became enamored of her winning personality and her fascinating mind. But he has never, in all the years he has been working, fraternized with a co-worker, and he is not sure he can hold out against getting involved with Annie.
What will Annie and Lorenzo do, with all that sexual tension heating up between them?
Move over Bianco brothers, the cousins have come a-calling, and I am here to welcome them with open arms. Oh, but please, don't tell Luca, Mauro, or Christian, though- I don't want them to think I'm cheating on them. Although I am. I so am.
After finishing Engaged to the EMT I couldn't wait for Lorenzo, "Enzo", Mancini's story, and let me tell you- I was not disappointed. This man, for all his playboy, chauvanistic, manwhorish ways, was a delight. And Annie was just the woman to show him the error of his ways.
This was such a fun and sexy office romance. Enzo and Annie sure were an entertaining couple- I liked them individually and I really liked them together, they're one of those couples who balance each other perfectly. I enjoyed the "forbidden" aspect of the story- I was on edge waiting for them to get caught!
While this was for the most part a light-hearted story, it also dealt with something women all too often have to put up with in real life work situations- being held down by the man. And I loved how Piper Rayne handled it- although I really wish a certain someone was made to suffer. Alas, we can't have everything!
These brothers are definitely giving the Biancos a run for their money. I am so looking forward to Carm and Dom's stories! I do believe Carm is going to have his hands full.
I loved the family bond of the Mancini family! The brothers together are a hoot!!
Enzo is the senior ad exec who goes through assistants often but when Annie temporarily helps him, well lets just say we see a whole different side to Enzo!
I loved the way Annie stood up for herself and her sass was so on point you couldn’t help but laugh!
What it all comes down to though, should you mix business with pleasure or is it better to keep them separate!?
I really liked Annies friends as well as her sister, they certainly have a special bond and a great support network as well!
But has Enzo betrayed her trust!?
So entertaining and a great story that will make you laugh and possibly shed a tear!
Such a great start to the White Collar Brothers series and I cannot wait for more!!

Would I read more from the author? Hell Yes
Would I recommend this book? He’ll Yes
This book is the first in a spinoff of the Blue Collar Brothers series. It focuses on the cousins of the guys in the first series. Annie and Enzo both work for the same agency, but he is an executive and she is an assistant. When his own assistant quits before a big meeting she is forced to step in. With both of them learning a lot from the other while working they grow close. Will they be able to keep work and their growing relationship separate or will pressure on the job end them before they can even begin? This was an okay read for me, but i have liked other books by Piper Rayne more.
