About the Author
Zack Love graduated from Harvard College, where he studied mostly literature, psychology, philosophy, and film. After college, he moved to New York City and took a corporate consulting job that had absolutely nothing to do with his studies. The attacks of September 11, 2001 inspired him to write a novella titled "The Doorman," and heightened his interest in the Middle East. A decade later, that interest extended to the Syrian Civil war, which provided the backdrop for his latest work. In late 2013, Zack began releasing his unpublished works of fiction and he is now a full-time author. Zack has published comedy, psychological and philosophical fiction, and romance. He enjoys confining himself to one genre about as much as he likes trying to sum up his existence in one paragraph.

What I wasnt prepared for was that this would turn out to be the funniest book I had read in a long time.....
Enter the guys: Evan, Sammy(Heeb), Carlos, Trevor and Yi Wang (Narc). Never before have I had so much fun with 5 totally clueless but completely lovable guys..(actually, there was this one time...but now probably isnt the time to get into that!!) I laughed with them and I laughed AT them as they get into a ton of ridiculous situations, all while trying to find themselves and more importantly, love.
"As his head moved up and down on Brandy's toe, he began to concentrate on its somewhat calloused texture, and then noticed that it tasted like a blend of shoe sweat, leather, nail polish and cheap perfume."
This book is so much more than a "Romantic Comedy". Yes, its funny, but its also clever, well written, with superbly developed characters ~ you really get to know each guy individually, find out their back story and what makes them tick, and you cant help but fall in love with them. This "Posse of Players" work great together, but each character has their own strengths that they bring to the story. My favourite kept changing all the way through, but in the end I think it was Sammy (Heeb) who I adored the most. He was probably the least good looking in the group but his intelligence and sense of humour shone through for me. Infact, my favourite chapter has to be "Heeb Hits The Jackpot" ~ I promise you will laugh your little socks off at that one.
"Do you think the cats would get upset if we did it doggy style?"
Ahhhh, if only you knew what was coming after that line!
You know its not my style to give away loads of the plotline, as much as I want to just ramble on about this book all night. You need to go out and buy it for yourself. If you are looking for an erotic romance from a male point of view, this is NOT the book for you! Yes, there is the word "SEX" in the title (and a very clever title it is too), and you will find out the significance of it about halfway through. The men do engage in a number of sexual acts, but its not explicit and it all fits in perfectly with the style of the book.
I am so pleased that I found this little gem and I cannot recommend it to you highly enough. Its a fantastic debut from Zack Love and Im excited to see what he comes up with next.
5 Stars (one for each of the guys!)
The book revolves around 5 men who are all looking to find the love of their lives. We have Evan, who is fired by email and then dumped by email too. This guy just can't catch a break. Think of any embarassing situation you have been in and double it. Next is Heeb. Heeb (Sammy) is my FAVOURITE character. He has an answer for everything and I must admit, it made alot of sense to me! Heeb has a life plan and he intends to follow it until he is distracted by crazy cat lady. The way this part ended has made me very reserved about cats. Carlos AKA Lucky Chucky is the 3rd man in this group and he takes OCD to a new level! He has a very specific set of rules which his dream woman must follow. Then we have Narc, juggling law school, basketball and working in his parents laundrette, fitting the ladies around his schedule. Finally we have Trevor AKA Tower, again, he has his quirks and certain rules. It isnt until we meet Charlene that we find out why he is how he is.
Overall this book had me laughing from beginning to end and I know I will pick it up again. Its better than chocolate, 0 calories but all the comfort. Do not read this on public transport though, I got some funny looks when I literally LOL'd! If you havent bought this book then why not? You don't know funny until you read this. Zack Love has completely nailed it and it would be criminal if he didnt write a sequel. I want more Evan (and Heeb!)
Anyways a funny relaxed read with some HEA action to appease the romantic in me xxx thanks Zack
