Another fantastic read from Ms Torre. I would highly recommend this 5-star story.
I have to say I liked both Paul and Stewart, though for different reasons. Paul is very laid back while Stewart is very intense, but both are great guys.
It all seemed to fall apart for me after the half way point. I loved the revelation that occurred, I just cant say I understood what happened afterwards. I expected more of a fight and there wasn't one, which disappointed me a bit. I wanted them to fight over her, it just seemed too easy in the end.
The writing is much better quality than usual, the story was gripping and original and the sex scenes were really erotic.
I'm not sure I liked the way this story ended but I was so invested in the characters and their situation, there really was no obvious solution.
Fantastic read, highly recommended.
Wow this book just blew me away. Everything about it was so unique and intriguing. I'm no stranger to love triangle books, and typically I'm not a massive fan of them because I can't take the chick being so indecisive (which is usually the case) so I was a little sceptical about this. Needlessly so. S3x. Love. Repeat. is in a league all of its own when it comes to triangles. Both guys are aware of each other and have both accepted the situation that they are in. It may not be considered the norm but it certainly works for them.
"They both own my heart now, an equal decision fought over by two sets of blue eyes."
As with any love triangle, I did have my favourite. It took me a while to pick because although we get to know each character separately, and we learn about their part in the relationship, they were both so likeable that I found it hard to think of any one guy that is right for Maddison, or one that wasn't. Was Stewart the right guy for her? The one who works every hour of the day and only fits Maddison in when he has a spare hour. Or do I choose Paul? The guy who has given Maddison everything, despite the fact she will only give him half of her heart. You'd think it's an easy choice to make.. Paul is the one.. but it just wasn't that easy because both guys had pros and cons. I understood how Maddison got herself in to this position in the first place.
"And that is how it is. I F Stewart, I F Paul, and they both know about it. And the more I F one, the more turned on the other gets."
Now, the actual story had some of the best 'OMG moments'. I had kind of expected it to be a little seedy, a woman openly seeing two men is not really your usual story after all.. but there was none of that. And as for the shocking moments, one point in particular had me GASPING because I just didn't see it coming. That has hardly ever happened to me before whilst reading and it's a true sign of a brilliant book. I love being constantly shocked, who wants to read a book so predictable?
Without spoiling anything, I will say that the guy who I preferred and wanted Maddison to end up with, was the one who came out on top, with her in the end. Really I had no clue how the author was going to resolve the issue of a woman being in love with two men but I have to say she did it with perception. I feel like every part of the ending was believable and I understood every issue that Maddison had and why she made decisions that she did. Overall this book was a brilliant read and I was sad to finish it.
