I'm not sure why this collection was rated so highly. Increasingly, I pay attention to only verified buyer comments.
But the second and fourth books are promising and I would be interested in sequels from both. The Spaceship Captain's Wife is too short but sweet, and we are briefly introduced to a world that sounds interesting. Gravitation is the best of the compilation, and paints a surprisingly complete picture of future Earth that is definitely worth revisiting. I would love to read Kory's story next, while continuing to check in with Niah and Bree and the rebellion!
In general, if I pay 99 cents for a book and find even one new promising author from it, I would consider that sufficient bang for my buck. So, in that sense, I would say it's worth getting.
But this book didn't event hit the low bar which was sad. I think the first story set the stage by being very badly written and I felt that I was reading mild erotica written for children which is wrong in so many ways ... that even though the rest of the stories were a tad better ... they were not what I expected and I just couldn't find the desire to go on and had to skip pages after the 2 story (so apologies to the writer of the 4th story - which seemed better written for the first few pages)
