I adore this series so much.

Darynda just has a way of writing likeable characters and putting Charley and Reyes together...well, it's perfection

It's witty, it's hot, it's romantic. It's perfect.

I need book 8 like right now!

4.75 stars-SEVENTH GRAVE AND NO BODY is the seventh installment in Darynda Jones’s adult, contemporary Charley Davidson UF series focusing on part time PI/full time Grim Reaper Charley Davidson. This is the continuing story of Charley’s life as the Grim Reaper, the corporeal spirits who have yet to pass, and the man to whom she has pledged her undying love-the son of Satan-Reyes Farrow. The series should be read in order for cohesion and the ongoing history between Charley and Reyes.

Told from first person POV (Charley) the focus of the storyline follows Charley as she is called in to help investigate a series of ten year old unsolved murders. Meanwhile, not only has Charley been targeted for extermination by Satan himself but someone has sent twelve hellhounds to make sure the job gets done. When a young sixteen year old girl is murdered, Charley is asked by the recently deceased herself, to track down her missing body. With the number of cases building, Charley continues to place herself in danger at every opportunity. Reyes is NOT a happy camper when he discovers that Charley has risked their future for the sake of someone else.

The relationship between Reyes and Charley is one of undying love, ordained by hell, and soul mated by birth. Reyes has waited thousands of years for Charley’s arrival and he isn’t about to lose Charley to the demons of hell. Their sexual chemistry is explosive; provocative and intense. But Reyes sex appeal does not go unnoticed and a local reporter aims her sights at Mr. Farrow.

SEVENTH GRAVE is a storyline that advances the series but a few days. Charley’s father is still missing; Uncle Bob (Ubie) is in a relationship with Charley’s BFF Cookie; and Reyes is more determined to protect Charley than ever before.

I am obsessed with this book! I am a bit of a book floozy, I love most genres, it really depends on my mood so I was so excited to get a good paranormal book to really get stuck into! As i haven't had one for a while. Seventh Grave With No Body is awesome! That is the best way to describe it, leading lady Charley Davidson, yeah I know cool name isn't it, and simple take one of the most renowned motorbike companies and add a C, and you got one kick ass name for your leading lady! Charley is strong and beautiful and all things a heroine should be. I always enjoy reading strong female characters!

Now Charley has quite a lot going on in this book, it's organised chaos thats doesn't quite go to plan and I love it, action packed, and full of adventure this is a book that will keep you reading way past your bedtime.

The great thing about this book is it's full of everything that you could possibly need, plot twists, puzzles and some witty sarcasm thrown in for good measure. The ensemble of characters creates great friction and you really connect to them and find yourself wanting to know more, you find yourself rooting for them and that is what you need when you read a book, for this reason it was a pleasure to read. I must of had every expression across my face while reading it. giggling alone late at night, frowning in those intense moments I got a real face workout reading Seventh Grave And No body.

Join Charley on her next adventure you will not be disappointed it is a solid series and it's worth every penny!

Darynda Jones has created one of the funniest, quirkiest, characters I've ever come across. It's a true delight when these books pop into my kindle and I devour them with a smile on my face. Charley is such a loveable character and keeping up with her thought processes is entertaining. Her relationship with Reyes is really touching and I particularly enjoy the fact that they have simply got it together without too much too'ing and fro'ing which is refreshing. I feel there are little holes in the plot and I'm still not sure where the story is heading but for some bizarre reason this doesn't matter - even though it really should! I would highly recommend this series but would advise you read them in order.
