Format: Paperback
“The City” continues the “Seventh Dimension” series, and I would strongly recommend reading the earlier books first, to get the most from this one. There are just enough details from the earlier story-line to enable a new reader to follow, but much of the reasoning and weight of this section of the plot will be hard to follow without the earlier context.
The demonic delights to hide, just as C S Lewis so wonderfully describes in his Screwtape Letters. Roberts here pulls the curtains back in a very different and equally plausible way, exposing the demonic behind many aspects of current events and attitudes.
These books are very well written with great attention to detail and atmosphere. The author has drawn heavily on her own experience to give the locations that realistic feel. So the series is a masterful blending of current events with historical ones from the time of Jesus, but the fast moving plot, full of unexpected twists and turns can readily be appreciated by any age group.
Like many others, I eagerly await the next book in the series.
