The fun and vivid story of Serendipity the cat and her life-coach, Pollyanna the parrot, illustrates beautifully how we can all take responsibility for our lives to help us achieve our goals and find happiness. The book also contains self-coaching exercises to enable the reader to follow Serendipity's example by setting goals and taking actions to reach them.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to make the journey towards achieving their true potential and, like Serendipity, to feel like "the cat that got the cream"!
However it is also a book that anyone who is interested in personal development, mastery and success could easily benefit from. There are many books on success out there, but a lot of them have very broad concepts that are either too weird or too complicated to implement in the hectic lives that a lot of people lead these days.
This is a book that can be read from cover to cover, or also a bite at a time, and I can see people reading it on trains, planes or wherever people are, when they have a few minutes to spare. There are also enough tools in it, to take one and use it for that day, depending what challenge you are currently facing, or your state of mind at that moment.
I have personally read a lot of books, and in general read 2 or 3 a month, but a lot of them I don't finish because I get bored easily, that wasn't the case with this book. Although it is a meaty book 218 pages, I still read it cover to cover very rapidly, and did apply some of the tools. Especially the chapter at the end where its condensed into a workable format of all the ideas and tools that had preceded chapter 14. in fact you could just read that last chapter and have enough there to help you on any goals or dreams you are working on at the present.Read more ›
While I wanted just to enjoy book, on the way I did all exercises myself, it without trying inspired me to look at my own life and make changes.
I am coach in training and I found this book very helpful in the way that it explaines with easy language coach and coachee relationships, different techniques, great coaching questions and how it shouldn't be so complicated as I thought.
Thank you Samantha for this great book.

This was quite a good book, with good ideas. However, it was a little bit child-like for my liking, I am an animal lover but can only relate so much to cats and parrots. Read morePublished on 25 Feb. 2013 by Roberta2608
