The corpus of literature that makes up Kabbalistic thought is complex and for the uninitiated difficult to get to grips with. This is the republication of an older work and it is clearly presented and laid out for the reader. As an outsider looking in through the window of Sepher Yetzirah as it were, I found it difficult to comprehend the complexity of Kabbalistic terminology and thinking. Personal illumination will have to wait and come from some other source.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sepher Yetzirah: The Book of Creation 21 Dec. 2008

Two Qabalistic translations in one cover! For Rosicrucian students, Knut Stenring was Dr. Paul Foster Case's preferred translator of this classic text of Hebrew spirituality.

Dr. Isidor Kalisch's translation comes with an introduction by an AMORC officer, written in 1948; Stenring's translation is introduced by A.E. Waite. I bought this copy for my own studies. It includes the Hebrew text. Both translations are provided in full. A great buy!

I did not know what to expect from this text. This information is heavy, I'm still going over it and applying concepts to my life. I purchased the Zohar and have been connecting the dots, climbing Jacobs ladder. This is a good read for those who are seeking to expand their kabbalistic views.

This is a strange book; but if you have wondered about the Kabbalah, this might be just the thing. I bought it because I had been reading some other books where texts from here were referenced, and I always like to see stuff in context. It is a valuable resource in the Judeo-Christian tradition.
