I was looking for new headphones for my iPod and wanted something that wasn't buds (hurt my ears after a while).
I wanted the sound quality of the Sennheiser PX 200, but nothing big and bulky. I also wanted the back band style.. It wasn't long before I started to lose hope that I would find such a thing... Until the PMX 200 was released.
I bought straight away and love them. You have light durable headphones that aren't too delicate and block out a good amount of external noise ensuring that your ears are not doubly bombarded by the music and the tube/bus/street noise etc.
They have a great frequency response and lovely warm tones that bring the music to life in a way that is uncommon if not extremely rare in headphones of this class. If you take your listening seriously, and your style as well.. these are without doubt the headphones for you. Worth the price.

These arrived yesterday, and I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed.

The sound quality is great - as most people have come to expect from Sennheiser. This is my second pair, and my girlfriend has a pair too - so safe to say that sound for the price is amazing.

Unfortunately, however, the neck-band design just doesn't work for me - and I suspect I won't be alone.

I wouldn't say I've got a particularly unusual head, in fact as a six foot tall bloke I'd say my head is pretty much standard proportions. Enough capacity to hold my brain and all the other bits that are in there - but not so big I ever have a problem finding hats to fit.

Similarly I think I've got pretty normal ears. They're not trophy handles, but nor are they vole-like.

But whoever Sennheiser designed these headphones for, it certainly wasn't for me. The neckband is just unbelievably big - so much so that it feels like it's flapping about behind my head. Worse than this, because it is so big (and heavy) it forces the headphones to sit at a really funny angle on my ears - meaning I can never get a perfect fit.

I was desperately looking for a way to shrink the band - the way you do with any other set of headphones - but this isn't an option. You're stuck with the Sennheiser standard fit.

The ear clips also have a really funny fit - they seem to assume that my ears should be about 3 times they size they are. Again, not user-adjustable.

The earphones themselves are a bit heavy - but I expected this to get a bit better sound quality. But the neckband is unjustifiably heavy and large. It really does weigh the whole thing down, and drags the earphones to a funny angle (made worse by the weird shaped earclips).

I have been looking around for a good pair of portable headphones for a while now, I am not a fan of in-ear phones. This is the last pair of headphones you will ever have to buy.
    Pros:
*Good tone quality, good bass. Impeccable sound! The bass gets better with a bit of run in.
*Very comfortable, do not even know they are on. Very Light.
*Closed system, blocks ambient noise, and no one else can hear what you are listing to.
    *Quality Construction!
    Cons:
*Connector not 90 degrees, not gold plated either :(

These headphones are absolutely amazing and are just the job for anyone who wants to do some serious sporting activities in them! Not only are they brilliant headphones, as the sound reproduction and bass quality are phenomenal even compared to much more expensive headphones; but they are also exceptional when it comes to use in outdoor activities. I cycle everywhere and normally the headphones I've bought fall off when I'm going around 15mph regardless of type which is very frustrating! However, so far, these headphones have not once came close to slipping even when I was traveling at roughly 50mph down a ridiculous hill.

I strongly advise anyone who needs a pair of rugged headphones to seriously consider these.

Having discarded my original iPod headphones due to their uninspiring sound reproduction, I looked around for a while for a new set, and eventually settled for some Sennheiser PMX60s. After half a year, though, they sadly passed away after i dropped them out of the car. Having had much joy with the 60s, I was very dissapointed in seeing them go, and thought it would be a tough task to replace such a competent and stylish pair of 'phones. Tough maybe, but not impossible...
THe PMX200s are simply astonishing, with all frequencies coming across as clean and crisp, and the bassline being held remarkably well, without any of the distortion or woolen sound experienced with inferior 'phones. I have only had these for a day, and so have not worn them in yet, which if my old sennheisers and others i have heard about are anything to go by, is a good thing. As they are in their current, newly opened state,i think they are probably more in the region of 4.5 stars, no less, but with the improvement in sound quality that i can expect after a while using them, then they wholly deserve the full marks awarded, probably even more! They exceed my expectations for this price bracket by some distance, in fact, i would pay much more for a set of headphones this good. In short - Outstanding!
