Clad in an attractive appearance, the CX 175 ear canal phones are no less than charming. Offering an outstanding audio performance, thanks to their high powered dynamic speaker systems, they also include various ear adaptor sets for excellent fit and ambient noise attenuation. Strut in style and let the music flow anywhere you go.
Optimised for CD, MP3 players and portable gaming systems, if you love crystal clear sound whilst listening to music, then these are the earphones for you.
With their high passive attenuation of ambient noise and delivery of a powerful bass-driven sound, the CX 175 are the perfect audio companion for the trail or the pavement.
These earphones deliver the exceptional quality audio that you would expect from Sennheiser and they are supplied with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
Avoid using headphones with the volume turned up for an extended period of time. Doing so can damage your hearing. It is advisable to keep the volume at a moderate level at all times. For your own safety, please do not use when driving or cycling.
*NOTE* - Wrapping headphones around phones/mp3 players leads to the gradual weakening of the headphone connection.

These are so poor, I gave them to my wife.
True, they aren't as cheap as the CX300's but I think they are worth the extra money, although I admit I am by no means a audiophile.
If you, like me, are a newbie to in-ear headphones, there are two huge advantages that had not occurred to me (had not thought about it - really):
1) The adaptors block out outside noise (not cancel it) to the extent that you can easily wear them on the loudest of underground trains and still clearly hear the music without turning it up to a level that will involve a trip to the doctors at some stage. The slight downside to this is that you cannot hear train announcements and are so enthralled in your own World that it is possible that you may wake up on an empty train at the end of Chingford line (only once, so far).
2) The adaptors block out the noise of your music so that fellow commuters etc don't give you the evils. I used my son as a gauge to tell me how loud I could go and it was louder than I would ever want. Sometimes I can't believe that the rest of the World are not listening too (and really hope that they are not).
For less than £30 I think that they are amazing, but as I have not tried any others, I accept that I am not exactly What Hifi.
What I have found is that they have been excellent for the above task. They fit snugly and reduce the music blasting out in the gym significantly even before I turn my music on. I find that I can listen to my own music without any problem and without having to have it on full volume. Even more satisfying is that the sound quality is actually pretty good, there is a lot more bass than I have experienced with ear buds before and no distortion at high volumes.
The only worry I have with them is that the cable is very thin and feels a little brittle so I am ever alert to the possibility of it breaking and leaving the ear buds useless. That said, they do come with a handy, tiny cinch loop to keep the Y under control when you wind the cable up to store them which does mean there are fewer snags and knots to put the cable under additional pressure.
Looking at reviews where people have had problems from the noise of the cable brushing their clothing, or when breathing, I have noticed that this only happens when I have pushed the buds too far in, especially when I have been sweating so I little fiddling and/or a quick wipe on my towel and they're fine. Position in the ear does make a difference and when you have it correct for you it will be obvious to you.
I am very pleased with these ear buds and, if they last 6 months or more of the heavy use I am giving them, I would definitely buy another set.
Update Aug 2015 - these ear buds are still working fine and I still use them regularly at the gym, while cycling and at home. They have been a very good purchase and I would recommend them.
