After reading great reviews about the pmx70 i chose to go with the sennheiser sport pmx80 - primarily because i liked the orange colour over the green.''i have only used apple headphones, so this was a major improvement. the package came and at first glance, the headphones seem lighter and more nimble than you would think - it really is quite small.''however the fit around your ears are amazing. they stay on, but do not cause discomfort by being too tight. At first you will notice how deep the earpieces go into your ears, which was a new thing - but you get used to it, and it really is better. they are a great fit, and when working out, or sprinting for that matter, these wont budge.''as for the sound quality, it lives up to the Sennheiser name. Great amount of bass, and though it isnt noise cancelling, it does a pretty good job at that. they put the apple headphones to shame in terms of sound quality.'you will not be disappointed with the sound.''it really does glow in the dark too, and i've ran it under water to clean after work outs, and i've had no problems. does exactly what it says it would.'the cable is pretty sturdy, and ive onli had it for a week so i cannot see any wear and tear.''these are very stylish, and practical headphones, providing you with a comfortable, and stable fit, with great quality sound.'i would recommend to any-one looking for headphones that would stay on, athletes especially - they really are water resistant (and sweat resistant...)

'great quality product that delivers all that it promises.'

Very comfortable for me and sounds great. Perfect for running, really secure. Only drawback is that if you are combining running with weights, you will not be able to lean your head back against a bench while wearing these.

But if you are just ordering them for running in then I would highly recommend them as the sound & comfort were great.

I bought a pair of PMX 80 headphones after my Senheiser PX100 broke. I wanted something suitable for running and with decent sound quality. When the PMX 80 arrived, I tried them on, and was struck by how uncomfortable they were. After a few minutes I was in considerable pain, and developed a pressure sore on my right ear, making it uncomfortable to wear any headphones, not just the PMX 80. The problem with the PMX 80 is that it has a solid plastic head band, which is supposed to fit everyone. Unfortunately I have a large head, although not unusually large, as I have no difficulty buying items such as cycling helmets. Anyway, after a few days of wondering whether to simply bin these headphones, I worked out that I could physically bend the head band until the plastic started to strain. It now has signs of damage. That cured the problem, but why should I damage a brand new product simply to get it to fit? The sound quality is decent, but nothing special, and not up to quality of the PX100. These are far superior to the cheap earphones that come with an iPod or other MP3 player, but they are no match for a Sennheiser PX100, CX500 or (surprise surprise) HD600 headphones. There is plenty of bass, more so than on many in ear headphones costing far more, such as the CX500, but it is slightly muddy. The treble is okay, but distortion is often heard when for example a singer hits the high notes. The sound quality is more than good enough for running, but not for use while relaxing, or working at a desk where more attention is paid to the sound.

The build quality is pretty good as expected from Sennheiser, although there was some flash on the edges of some of the mouldings which rubbed painfully against my ears. (Pain seems to be the common factor with these head phones.) Overall not bad.

I use headsets primarily for working out...I must have incredibly toxic sweat or something because headsets in my possession don't last very long. In fact, I've gone through at least 3 different headsets in the last year. That said, this item is currently the record-holder in terms of longevity. Here's my breakdown of the pros and cons:

    Pros:
The neckband-style is incredibly comfortable. It doesn't get in the way of my work-out hat (like traditional over-the-top headsets do) and it doesn't pop out of my ears (like the ear-bud-only headsets do). It's stable, doesn't flop around and doesn't get in the way. It's a great hybrid of over-the-top and ear-bud-only types of headsets. The wire is of a perfect length (not too long where its flopping around and getting tangled up while you're running and not so short that you have to keep your mp3 player strapped to your upper arm). The color is alright--I don't really care for orange, but it adds to your visibility when running at night. It's easy to clean this headset...the construction allows for an easy wipedown with a wet cloth. One of the reviewers below mentioned rinsing it under the tap...I'm not sure I'd do this myself considering there are small perforations in the earbuds which, I would assume, lead to water-sensitive electronics, but that's just me. The earbuds themselves are rubberized for easy cleaning. Most importantly, sound quality: excellent. Obviously, you're not going to be blown away by a sub-£20 headset, but for what you pay, it's as good as it gets.

    Cons:
The earbuds are slightly on the 'larger' side of things--either that or I have really small ear canals. However, I wear these about 2hrs each time and my ears haven't really suffered apart from an initial 'adjustment period'.
