-Movement seems accurate
-Feels good on wrist
-Quite pleasing pepsi dial and general presentation
-Very good lume
-Chapter ring was misaligned against the dial indices significantly. 12, 6 and 9 were off by some measure. After some investigation it seems Seiko have a quality control problem in particular on their lower end divers (SKX etc) and 5 Sports watch, and this is a common problem (Seiko need to fix this QC problem!). It is also disappointing the seller did not pick it up either. Regardless, I contacted Seiko who rectified the misalignment for free because I felt sending it back and swapping it would not guarantee a perfectly aligned model, but sending it to Seiko would guarantee this (I had to send it at my cost though).
-On reflection, I feel the SKX009 and 007 are better looking than this watch, but it is only a small downside
-No manual wind or hacking, but at this price point perhaps this is asking too much
box has stuff on the side that looks ‘disgusting’ and I’m not sure what it is! I feel let down.
However, It’s a lesson for me on how vital presentation is. Obviously, my first impression
can’t change but I can create my own ‘experience’ with my imagination. The way I do
things is probably better anyway. Thanks for the product and for the important lesson!
However after winding it up fo several minuets and wearing it for 24 hours, the watch keeps stopping when the second hand gets to 3, this just shows how poor the quality control is.
I have returned it to Amazon for a replacment and hopefully that one will work, otherwise I will be requesting a full refund and buying some other make.
I really fancied this as a smart day watch for some time, it was eventually offered at a very reasonable price by CW Watches, so I decided to go for it, so glad I did.
It obviously takes it's look from the Rolex Submariner, a classic timeless look.
It is a kinetic device and the clear back is a nice feature, mine looses around 5 seconds per day, which is acceptable.
Highly recommended, however I am left wondering what I will do when the kinetic movement needs servicing, which will no doubt happen one day!?
