Do not let those other bad reviews scare you off. This device works well. Already has shown weak spots in my insulation. The thermal gradient is somewhat needing refined in the software when regarding extremely close temperatures, but that's software related and so far as the unit is able to display relative accurate thermal resolutions for me. Also, the tech support was brilliant in answering my questions regarding the unit.
Nedis Valueline 0.2m USB Micro B to B 11 works also (Separate buy.) On a note 2 and 4

I have a nexus 5 and a nexus 9, both google reference platform... That camera doesn't come with a way to reverse it, and it faces... YOU. How stupid is that? I ordered a good quality 15cm micro-to-micro USB cable to allow it to be turned around and... it still doesn't work. The cable works all right, but the camera is not recognised when plugged in the phone via the extension cable.
So, a very expensive and useless camera, unless you buy a new phone whose only criteria is to have the usb socket the other way around.

As with other peoples review the micro-usb single facing thing can be an issue - however it is facing the back for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge so I do not have a gripe with that. While this may be cheap for a Thermal Camera, it is not cheap and does not live up to expectations. Temperature readouts are between 10-15% out (based on using a laser thermometer at same spot), picture quality is poor and the only difference you will see in pictures is between extreme temperature variations (i live in Dubai and Air-conditioning vents are obvious however a hot car engine will show up the same as surrounding desert despite 15 degree plus difference in temperature. All in all either fork out for a real thermal camera or download a free app from the play store that 'takes pictures in thermal mode'.

Found an owl inside an owl box using this last night. ***It is illegal to disturb barn owls without a licence***
It works very well. The only flaw is that I'm struggling to find a reliable connecting cable for my Android phone so that I can use it facing away from me and I can see the screen of the phone.

Not exactly what I was looking for, images are really poor, not sharp at all, tend to have a lot of what looks like interference around the edges of shapes so you can't exactly tell wha
    t your looking at.
Advertised mine on Ebay and will be buying a Flir One, seen the images from that and they're much better.

Camera has a fixed micro USB. On my tablet it faced toward me. I bought a new smart phone with micro sim facing right way and it wouldn't work. So I bought a micro sim lead and Velcro to face camera correct way with my tablet. Although it works on tablet facing towards myself it doesnt work with micro sim extension lead I bought through Amazon. I have returned the camera out of sheer frustration. Seek recommend an extension cable as work around for camera facing wrong way which leaves the camera floppy unless you fix it in some way as with Velcro strips. By the by their recommendation doesn't work. My advice to Seek is rotatable micro sim attachment to camera.

Also registriert, ist jetzt Pficht. Also unbrauchbar für meine Anwendungen, da draußen gibt's oft kein Netz!
