A typical representative of DM's early phase: a cute pop song that's little more than plain... cute. Melancholy and delicate, it features vocals by a still stylistically immature Gahan, who sings softly and undertone. It's interesting to note how the music has undergone a slight change from the first album: songwriting, after Clarke's departure, has fallen into Gore's hands, and the tone is starting to show some minimal shifts towards darkness. It would take some more time to make darkness dominant in DM's songs, but here you can find some hints. The B-side is quite good, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Now, this is fun" is great 30 Nov. 1999

I've been a big fan of DM ever since a good friend of mine played "Some Great Reward" to me about 1984. I have never really liked the song "See You", but the b-side is just fantastic! In my opinion the beats make this one far ahead of it's time. Extremely dancable, and just great tempo changes.
4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it... 18 Feb. 2000

I wasn't a huge fan of the song "See you", but when I saw there was an extended version of one of my favourite songs "Now this is fun" I decided to buy it. Well I'm glad I did, I really like the A-side "See you". It has a deep molody that I can't resist listening to over and over. Its one of my favourite singles!
