Like many people, I thought the golden age of reggae had long gone. This CD proves that that it is possible to add a contemporary twist to old style singing and themes. I know, very little about who Rythym and Sound are, but they are apparently based in Berlin. This album's tracks are all "versions" of the same rythym, but they have a collection of singers, some old (Sugar Minott) and some new (to me anyway)who sing superbly in true rasta style. The thing that makes this new is that the production is very heavy but minimal, with almost a "techno" feel to the sound. The one rythym is a true classic - beautifully sparse.

I hate to quote a spoof radio DJ... but this really is "a sonic cathedral of sound."

the most beautiful of digital style dub reggae grooves with some of Reggae`s finest vocalists making those grooves their own..

Play this on a high quality stereo system, turn up the bass and sit back in your favourite armchair..

Nice. Only one beat but a good one. I dont know about the best reggae album in 20 years. Someone needs to get around a bit more but that is not to deny that this is good (and that is more than I can say for the others in the series which have unfortunately proved play once only purchases).

Overly simplistic and very repetitive. Less (hardly any!) influence of techno, more rooted in Jamaican reggae - but using one looped beat with the odd basic effect and decent but nothing special vocals; for a whole album this just becomes boring. Very overrated 1 trick album and a album that's less then 40mins.
