Vaughan is one cocky guy that is so convinced of his own sexuality, he believes himself to be so irresistible, he makes a career from his prowess. With hints to a bad experience that shadows his choices, Vaughan is a character that I need to find out more about. . He proves his confidence is justified in the opening pages and although oozing sex appeal I fell in lust not love with this character.
His next honey trap target isn't as easy though. Keely is a feisty but struggling paralegal in a dog eat dog world that is caught up in something that she didn't see coming. Her life is about to get turned upside down by someone with reasons yet yo be revealed. She puts up a brave fight and I was only slightly disappointed when she wasn't more of a challenge but I admit I would have been in Vaughan's bed in a heart beat.
The story line gives the reader hot sex scenes from the start with a simmering sexual tension that makes reading this novella a squirm worthy experience. The plot and characters develop into something a little darker and leaves many questions for the next book. Who hired him to seduce her? Who hurt him so much that he has become so cold? WHY!?!?
I've rated this as a four star read as I would have liked Vaughan to more clinical and cold in his first chapter. His past haunts him and drives his actions but seems too raw and is in conflict with the nature of his job, but as a short story the details sometimes feel a little rushed. Overall a fab read and I can't wait to see what the next installment brings.
She tries her hardest to keep him out of her head but that doesn't work as all she can think of is having his arms wrapped around her again. So when he turns up at her work all she wants to do is live with her fantasies but however knowing that he's at her work she tries to remain professional and refuses his dinner invitation. What she doesn't know about Vaughn is that this is secretly killing him because he is attracted to her but he is also trying to get into her pants to please a client.
However when it becomes clear that Vaughn isn't going to give up what will Keely do. Will she give into his charms or keep away as it's the best thing for her. Will Vaughn do as his client askes or will he take everything to a whole new level. I am so glad that I read this book as it's such a thrilling read. I recommend that you give it a try as it's about to get a whole lot more interesting.

Vaughn is a Seducer. He doesn't care what woman he has to seduce, whether its a cheating spouse or someone who needs showing a good time; if they pay he'll do it. Keely works as a paralegal, with ambitions to be a lawyer. When she meets Vaughn she is instantly attracted to him, and for the first time, Vaughn is truely intrigued by one of the women that he is suposed to seduce. And when Keely says no to him he becomes more determined than ever to have her.
Sometimes I go looking for a quick and sexy read, but most of the time I don't bother with proper reviews (mainly because I don't find that I have that much to say) but the Seduction is different, I felt that I needed to share my thoughts on it, particularly because I can think of a few people who would enjoy it. The Seduction is a freebie on amazon, but it has done it's job...I really want to buy the second one!
The sex scenes in The Seduction were incrediably steamy. They weren't full of love and caring, but rather obsession, passion and animalistic tendancies. It gave the story a slightly different pacing to the story than if it was more of a romance. Saying that, there were some hints of more feeling than just sex, but it was only just starting out. More like a crush than anything else.
Keely got quite a detailed background in the story and I liked having that information about her, whereas Vaughn remained a bit more of a mystery (and very full of himself). What I also liked about Keely was that she actually seemed to have some confidence. A lot of women in her position (in books) tend to be shy and retiring, but Keely had a backbone and it showed.
I enjoyed The Seduction, it was one of those erotica books that seemed to go that bit further.
These novellas should be read in order:
Part 1: The Seduction
Part 2: The Seduction II
Part 3: The Seduction III
The Seduction (part 1) follows for-hire seducer Vaughn as her wraps up his latest job or trapping an unfaithful wife. His next job is lined up, seduce recent college graduate and paralegal, Keely Fawes. But Keely, though immensely attracted to Vaughn,is not going to be as easy of a target as Vaughn anticipated. She is torn between her attraction to him, feeling intimidated by his come-ons and plain old insecurity.
We soon learn of Keely’s painful past of being all alone after losing both her parents. Vaughn on the other hand has secrets he’d rather keep. The story follows them as Vaughn is forced to step up his game, while the world around him sort of unravels. Add to that the mystery behind the person who hired him and you have a roller-coaster of events, emotions... and mind-blowing sex courtesy the Seducer.
VAUGHN: ~35 years/Seducer/$$$$/Dark blond hair/blue eyes
Seven words to describe Vaughn: Cocky, focused, broken, enigmatic, ruthless, charismatic and relentless.
KEELY FAWES: 23 years/Recent College graduate/Paralegal/Brown hair/Blue eyes/Orphan
Seven words to describe Keely Fawes: Sweet, timid, insecure, lonely, inexperienced, impressionable and loyal.
The Seduction provides tons of sexual tension and build-up with promise of much more to come. Vaughn is after all the Seducer and he is relentless in his approach. I wish his seduction would have been more about the job and less of his emotions in the beginning.Read more ›
