An omnibus volume, collecting three novellas available separately. I'd read at least one of those before (and the middle section here seemed initially familiar though I didn't remember the end and cannot have read the second novella entirely) so it is good to have the complete story in one package. It's a fast-paced and world-spanning narrative, moving from London to America, the Caribbean and Antarctica. The complex mystery at the heart of the story begins with a murder and develops from there into a potentially world-shattering plot. The cast of characters is headed by an elderly lady, a cross between Miss Marple and Madame Arcati - and there is a delightful progression of a governmental department from Dickens' 'Little Dorrit'). To say more would be to spoil the enjoyment of reading this collection though it should perhaps be noted that it is genuinely funny as well as engaging.

Stephen Hunt rarely fails to entertain and this well paced adventure does not disappoint. I had read the first novella some time ago so was pleased to be able to recap the story before reading the conclusion. I just love his characters and am a sucker for stories about older ladies with attitude His anti-heroine, Agatha, in my opinion, is just the best.... I want to see a film about this old bird! The omnibus is a great read but there are still some untold stories. I hope I get the chance to read more about the characters in future books.

A very interesting and well written book. At the start, I was confused - who was this Agatha person? But as the book progressed, her history unfolded and I was capivated by the story. The ending was a little disappointing in that I wasn't expecting what unfolded (and I won't spoil it by telling you more). Which is why I gave it 4 starts and not 5. But don't let that stop you - it's a cracking read.

You should read it if you like spy thrillers with the odd hint of sci-fi.

I guarantee Agatha's catchphrase will not only make you smirk whilst reading, but may also result in you quoting it whilst at work!!

Stephen Hunt is without doubt one of the most entertaining writers I've ever had the pleasure to read, and meet. Every book I have read flows beautifully, and takes you in its grip, forcing you to get lost in each world created.
This omnibus of his online novellas is no exception. A thoroughly enjoyable read and highly recommended
