After an interesting first chapter exposing some of the lore behind on the world of Moth, Secrets of Moth picks up almost right where Empires of Moth ended, and is an excellent start to this book.

What strikes me most about this book, and book 2 of the series (but to a lesser extent) is how more fleshed out the characters are. Bailey, Cam and Linee are now much more developed characters and as a result they are all a lot more interesting. Ferius is as vile as ever, and while I didn't think much to his character in the first book, since book 2 he has become a lot deeper. His backstory has now been explored and he's more interesting and even more menacing. With their romance blossoming, Torin and Koyee's romance, and a developing love triangle with Bailey have given their characters an added layer of depth as well.

I think criticisms that I've had personally throughout the Moth series continue to mar this entry, however.

For one thing, the way the author repeatedly describes the same thing over and over, it works well sometimes but its over done. For example, the appearance of the different factions' armour is described numerous times. Again and again we are reminded of what the sigil/banner of each faction is, etc.

One word. Amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, a good link from the previous book. Excellent story line made you want to keep reading and not stop.
Best moth book so far in my opinion. Looking forward to daughter of moth, I have a feeling it will be brilliant like the others.

I have enjoyed the books in this series and this, the third, is no exception. I am looking forward to
any further works about this immobile world and the peoples who inhabit its daylight and night.

This is a fantastic fantasy series, and is well worth a read.

The lore that is introduced about the world of moth in the this book is both unique and interesting, with some fantastic plot twists along the way. There are highs and lows as you feel the emotions of the characters which are much more relatable and fleshed out in this book as well as in book two. The world that Daniel builds is very vivid, believable and lovable as the descriptions are built upon and the characters make the fantasy world come alive.

This is one of the few books of recent times that has genuinely made me feel emotional at the twists and turns the characters experience. Well done Daniel Arenson!

The only tiny issue I have with these books is they are not perfectly edited, there are many minor spelling/typing mistakes within the kindle edition and I don't really understand why. This does not effect the read as the mistakes are few and far between and are minor at worst.

A story of War & Hope. As I have written before if you like the authors style it`s a good ending to the trilogy. I preferred the first two but it keeps you reading to know the fate of the characters. Even so, I will be awaiting the next trilogy to read about the fate of Moth & it`s people.

I've come across Daniel only recently, but since I did I have been reading nothing else. The Moth saga has really grabbed me by the throat and I'm reading it avidly. Long may he continue writing in this vein.
