Hanna is Taiwanese by birth, British by education, pseudo-American by accent and Australian by residence! After graduating from Oxford University, she tried her hand at a variety of jobs before returning to her first love: writing. Hsin-Yi has always been searching for close encounters of the canine kind. Where other girls grew up pony-mad, Hsin-Yi was dog-mad: her favourite bedtime reading was the Encyclopaedia of Dog Breeds and her favourite activity was practising an really authentic bark. When she wasn't doing Rottweiler impressions, Hsin-Yi spent her time devouring mysteries. Her childhood idol was Nancy Drew - not just because Nancy could scuba dive, speak French, sell insurance and solve mysteries - often all at the same time - but also because Hsin-Yi really wanted "strawberry-blonde hair". It's perhaps fitting that now grown up, Hsin-Yi has launched her author career with a children's mystery series starring an enormous, slobbery dog. When she's not working on her next novel, she's usually found watching repeats of her favourite TV show, Fringe, or wiping Dane slobber off the walls. The characters are well written, the story moves along at a good pace with plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested but without being over complicated for younger readers.
H.Y. really has a good understanding of doggie behaviour and manages to translate it fantastically into 'human' - having lived with both a Great Dane, a Husky and a crossbreed I can confirm she has their 'voices' just right although I must say that Honey is a lot brighter than our Dane was (mind you he was a boy so I think that might say a lot!)
I was hoping that Bean the puppy from #1 might have made a guest appearance but maybe next time - which hopefully won't be too long....

Just like the first book, i finished this book in one day.. Trust me, you just can't stop reading it..
The book teaches the ethical values both for humans and the dogs. Lets us know about the different breeds of dogs in the world and their characters well put in words. This book can help us understand how our pets feel, think and react to us. "Dogs do have feelings just like humans." The book says it all.. A very well written book.. Cant wait to share it with my friends. Eagerly waiting for the next in series.. :)
I love the characters and was in tears when I got to the Best in Show judging.
I won't write a description as others already have, so I'll just say thank you for writing another great book, and I am looking forward to any more that you write.
