Reasonable quality but lightly constructed

The existence of the phrase 'Sheffield England' would strongly suggest this to be a UK-made product. However, with welded and not riveted steel sections and a rather light weight, evidence indicates otherwise. The steel body is quite thin but is highly polished - compost should mostly slide off and a wipe down with a dry or lightly dampened cloth should keep it clean. The leather thong will allow hanging from a hook.
To the positive, this is a steep-sided scoop that is better suited to measuring and mixing ingredients for a potting compost and then filling the pots than a rather shallow trowel used until now; about as much material is spilled than is ever filled. Used in this way and not the more stress-inducing digging with a trowel (for which it is clearly unsuited), it should survive many years.
