About the Author

Robert Bryndza was born in the UK and lived in America and Canada before settling in Slovakia with his Slovak husband Ján. His debut novel The Not So Secret Emails of Coco Pinchard became an Amazon bestseller and two sequels have followed, Coco Pinchard’s Big Fat Tipsy Wedding and Coco Pinchard, The Consequences of Love and Sex. When he’s not writing Rob is learning Slovak, trying to train two crazy dogs, or watching Grand Designs – all in the hope that he’ll be able to understand his mother-in-law, build his dream house, and get the dogs to listen. Coco Pinchard should be enjoying life, married, a grown up son and her first book written and published, but life is never what you expect it to be. When Coco receives an i phone at Xmas, from her husband, her life is about to take a dive. The story is told through emails that she sends from her new phone.
Robert Bryndza's humour works a dream. There is quite an innocence in the emails that is both endearing to the character of Coco and hilarious at the same time. I listen to my books while doing a night shift at work. I was literally laughing so much that I think my colleagues are now convinced that I am the "special one" the company employs to bump up government figures.
The thought of a novel just containing emails just doesn't sound like it would work but Robert Bryndza tells a cracking full blown entertaining story through them. The cast of characters isn't huge but the quality is top notch. Each is colourful, I especially loved Ethel, Coco's mother-in-law. There are some brilliant scenes in the hospital.
Brilliant book and the journey continues, I already have the next 4 books in the series.

Whether it's because I'm ill and laid up in bed, and my get up and go has currently got up and gone, but the hilarious and laugh out loud comments from some reviews didn't work for me at all. I would say it was mildly amusing in some parts but that's about it. Perhaps it's that the story is set in email form, I don't know.
Anyway, I much prefer Robert Bryndza's Crime books with Erika Foster. Now they're books I can really get my teeth into.

Third book of my holiday reads.

What a wonderfully funny and heartwarming book this is. Absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed reading Coco's emails and getting an insight into her life. Coco is just a fabulous character as is Ethel her ever embarrassing mother in law.

Can't recommend this book highly enough, especially if your after a book that will brighten up your day. Can't wait to read the next one.

A funny book written in the form of emails. Definitely has the feel of Bridget Jones. Whilst not being a laugh a minute, there are lots of funny parts and some of the lines the characters come out with did have me giggling to myself. Look forward to starting the second in the series to see what Coco gets up to next! If this is anything to go by, it should be a right laugh!!

I bought this book at 3am in a bout of insomnia and I am so glad I did!
I couldn't put it down and finished it in a couple of evenings. I actually woke my husband bursting out laughing! The story is entertaining and I love the format of the emails. The conversations between friends are so relatable.
I have bought the next 4 books already and can't wait to see what happens to Coco next!
Thank you Robert Bryndza, this has been a ray of sunshine.

This made me laugh out loud. I was at the airport coming back from holiday and couldn't see the words through the laughter tears. There's lots of other more serious bits going on too but the funny bits are very funny. I'm now on the final Coco Pinchard book. Hope he writes more about her.

What a great light-hearted, fun, entertaining novel this is and the email format works very well. The emails are all from Coco on her new i-phone but they are skilfully managed to ensure that they don't become predictable or tedious. Through her emails we get the details of Coco's life and come to know her family and friends. Her immediate family, with the possible exception of her son, are gruesome but her friends are great. Good characterisation and a lively plot makes this highly readable comedic romance fiction. A thoroughly enjoyable read!
