I have to say I absolutely loved this book. Coco Pinchard is a slightly neurotic, but very loveable character who shares a hell of a year in her life through a series of e-mails to family and friends.

When I started reading I found the style of the story telling--all in e-mail--a little odd and some of the initial scrapes Coco gets herself in a bit contrived. However, this was just an early blip; my mind adjusting from the previous read or something, because it wasn't long before pages were passing in a blur as I eagerly devoured them. Being written in e-mail works to the stories advantage; it's very easy to read and each e-mail is almost a mini chapter. It's a mark of genius.

The ups and downs in Coco's life, as she tries to make her mark in the literary world, are fast and frantic. Between her vividly written collection of supportive friends and extremely dysfunctional family, Coco never seems to quite get the hang of this thing called life.

Every page brings a new drama and the story is packed with more than its fair share of raucous, laugh-out-loud moments. The ending is everything you want it to be and does not disappoint.

When things are getting serious this book will help you see the lighter side of life. If you like fun-filled, humorous fiction, this is the book for you.

Third book of my holiday reads.

What a wonderfully funny and heartwarming book this is. Absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed reading Coco's emails and getting an insight into her life. Coco is just a fabulous character as is Ethel her ever embarrassing mother in law.

Can't recommend this book highly enough, especially if your after a book that will brighten up your day. Can't wait to read the next one.

This made me laugh out loud. I was at the airport coming back from holiday and couldn't see the words through the laughter tears. There's lots of other more serious bits going on too but the funny bits are very funny. I'm now on the final Coco Pinchard book. Hope he writes more about her.

What a great light-hearted, fun, entertaining novel this is and the email format works very well. The emails are all from Coco on her new i-phone but they are skilfully managed to ensure that they don't become predictable or tedious. Through her emails we get the details of Coco's life and come to know her family and friends. Her immediate family, with the possible exception of her son, are gruesome but her friends are great. Good characterisation and a lively plot makes this highly readable comedic romance fiction. A thoroughly enjoyable read!

Didn't enjoy it as previous book I read by Robert Bryndza. Boring and predictable in places. Jumped about a bit too.

Coco Pinchard is a very funny protagonist. Some of her antics related in her emails are hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the novel, although I found it did seem to lose the comedy towards the end.

I got the book on a whim as it was free and I'm not sure I'm the intended audience but I did enjoy it. Laughed out loud quite a few times, it is funny.

After reading the other reviews, I was expecting this to be a laugh a minute so I was disappointed as I think I only managed a smirk on one or two occasions for the duration. It's an easy read, vaguely amusing in some parts so if you're looking for something light and not at all serious, this would be a great book. Definitely a holiday read or something to pick up in between meatier, more heavy going items.
