About the Author

Tara Brown writes in a variety of genres. In addition to her futuristic Born Trilogy stories and her nine-part Devil s Roses fantasy series, she has published a number of popular contemporary and paranormal romances, science fiction novels, thrillers, and romantic comedies. She enjoys writing dark and moody tales involving strong lead characters, often female, who are more prone to vanquishing evil than perpetrating it. She shares her home with her husband, two daughters, two cats, and a wolfhound.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Well, I love every single book by Tara. Doesn't matter under which alias she chooses to write. I love her paranormal, criminal, erotic. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Yes, I know I screamed. But I can't help it.

The Second Nature is just as amazing as the first book. If not better. It takes off just right were the first book left and I love that. I don't have to wait for my questions to be answered so it's just AMAZING.

To avoid spoilers for people that have not read the first part I'm just going to say that the story is told from the POV of Lainey. She is giving us the full recap of all the situations the group finds themselves in. Where everyone seems to think that the stalker backed off, she gets more suspicious and start making maps of potential and knows moves of the killer (very Sherlock Holmes' like! Me likes!). She and her friends find more and more clues, and in her way to find the answers she also finds love. Unexpected and totally not wanted.

With the race to save everyone she cares about she uncovers more and more lies. She is not sure who to trust as everyone is on her suspect list.

I can't wait for the next book! Especially with this ending. It made my jaw to drop open. I think Tara is queen of twists and turns that no one expects!

AMAZING HEAVENLY FREAKING 5 STARS! <3

Wow that was amazing - even better than the first and I thought the first was great. I like the fact that this book was written from a different characters POV and hope this continues as it allows one to gain insight into another character and a better understanding of the other characters by viewing them through anothers' perspective.

More secrets were unearthed, old questions answered and new ones raised, lots more plot twists and turns, mystery, suspense, murder and mayhem with fascinating plausible characters. Great ending left me wanting more now especially since it's all still fresh in my mind am really looking forward to the next one - although it should have been out Dec 2015 (as advertised at end of book 2) but still not released which is a cause for concern.

Loved the first book, and this one did not disappoint. I cannot wait for the next one. I really liked the idea of the book being told from the main characters in a different book.

5.0 out of 5 stars I just can't even!!! FREAKING AMAZEBALLS! 10 Oct. 2015

OH MY FREAKING GOSH!!! This book is epic!! Right off the bat I was freaked out and had the chills! Then it went back in time a few weeks and started down a trail I could have never predicted!! Tara Brown is a frightening genius! This story is so dark and twisty and at one point had me so on the edge of my seat and freaking out I literally thought I was gonna be sick! LOL. Knowing there are 3 more books to go after the end of this simply boggles my mind!! You think they have it all figured out....but oh no, not when it comes TB, when you think you have it all figured out, that means you are about to have the rug pulled out from under you! I was trying to read this slowly so it would last longer, but it is just impossible! I need December!!! Then I will need spring, then summer!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good second 4 Oct. 2015

I really enjoyed the first story, and am pleased with the second one. It is told from Lainey's point of view, so you get to know her and Jake more in this. I liked that we saw a different perspective, but I feel that Lindsey's character seemed to be different than the first. She was a stronger character in the first. Lainey really developed. I like how some of the mystery was solved. Obviously, there is moe, and it seems as if the next book is going to be featuring a lot of Sierra. I don't really have. Inch of a read on her, so that will be interesting. I can say of the girls left, she is the one I find interesting. I don't like Sage, and don't really care for Rita much. We will have to see what happens. Another good book by a talented writer. You should check out books by her in other genres. Looking forward to December's story.

For the third installment of this book! I was up all night reading this one! I seriously stalk her page always hopeful a new book of hers has been released!!! All of her books are not only fun to read but, I want more!!!! I want 10 at a time more so I always have something great to read!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lainey's Book 7 Oct. 2015
By Cindy Fong - Published on Amazon.com

Okay, where to start..... This book takes up right where book 1 ended. Rachel is dead, Mr. Henning is dead and there is a killer still on the loose. Lindsay and Vincent are still a thing and Ashton is still missing. It is up to the group to try to make some sense of what is going on. There are lots of twists and turn and a little romance too. Can't wait for book 3. Bring it on!
5.0 out of 5 stars I am so hooked!! 29 Jan. 2016

This series just keeps getting better, but if you have read any of this author's books you wouldn't expect anything less then a page Turner.

Things have been quiet for a month, most feel the killer has moved on...that is until all Hello start a breaking loose again. Who is next?? Who is doing this?? Be careful with dirty little secrets..they always come out with the skeletons from the closet.
