The pack itself contains little that you can't get for much less, and perhaps even for free, in Second Life. You get a Hoverboard and some basic clothing--jacket, pants, knee pads, back pack--worth a total of perhaps 1,000 LINDEN dollars at most, or less than three pounds sterling, and more realistically half that. The hoverboard is interesting for a few minutes, but it doesn't add anything especially to the Second Life experience as it is fairly difficult to control and moves so quickly that you will have trouble rezzing the environment to keep up. There is little advantage over regular flying and I am not sure where you would really want to use this. The jacket and pants look like black lycra--if that's your thing fine, but they are not really worth much. Perhaps the worse thing is that purchasing this links your Amazon account to Second Life, which is great for Linden Labs but not for you. I would not recommend unless for some reason you really want the hoverboard. There is hardly a 'bonus' pack.
Second life. The virtual world. You can experience freedom and fun and a 3D environment.
As long as you don't mind the fact that everything you do, every word you say, every activity you play, you will be watched over by the owner of Second Life, Mr Linden.
Mr Linden can do what he wants, say what he wants and treat people as unfairly as he wants and no-one can do anything about it. That's right. Mr Linden has the right to do anything he wants in Linden land (otherwise known as Second Life). One man controls everything. Thousands of people are all ruled by one unelected King. King Linden. He can insinuate himself into any persona and disguise. In second life you might find yourself talking to Mr Linden himself and not know it because he can take on any disguise because he owns the second life world.
That is precisely what is wrong with second life. If you take part in it, you have to accept that you and everyone else is a second class citizen and there is only one first class citizen. Linden.
One person should not be allowed to do this, but Linden can. He is the worlds first legal dictator.
If you want to play second life you have to accept this. No thanks.
The dude needs to be dethroned by people who want a democratic virtual world.
