Manufacturer's Description
Sea Sonic Electronics launches the M12II “Bronze” Series, the new and upgraded version of the M12II “Bronze” Series in response to the growing demand and anticipation for more energy-efficient products. The M12II Bronze Series inherits the same output and wattage options as well as the superb quality and ultimate silence from the M12II Series. The M12II, available in 500 watts, offers buyers with a mid range power output solution with cable management, to meet their exact system needs; cable management is now made easier than ever.
The M12II Bronze Series achieves the 80 PLUS® Bronze standard of at least 82%, 85% and 82% efficiency under 20%, 50% and 100% operating loads respectively. Combined with Active Power Factor correction (Active PFC), the M12II Bronze reduces energy waste, boosts power efficiency and more importantly, helps the users to save energy and reduce electricity bill.
While upgrading in efficiency, the M12II Bronze Series maintains the advanced designs and quality components from the past M12II line. Such designs and components including Double Forward Converter design, Smart and Silent Fan Control and highly reliable Japanese brand capacitor also boost the overall performance in stability and silence. The M12II Bronze Series is available in standard ATX Form Factor and in wattages that are beneficial for a PC system. With the all-in-one cabling design and EPS connectors, the M12II Bronze Series is geared to support IPC and server systems and as well, both 6P & 8P PCI-E connector for latest and high end dual graphic cards. Moreover, the modular design also provides a flexible solution for orderly cable management.
The M12II Bronze Series is made reliable by featuring safety regulations such as Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over Power Protection (OPP). Major safety and EMC directives and as well, the environmental certifications RoHS and WEEE increase safety and usage reliability for the users

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 February 2012I bought this purely because my existing Seasonic PSU developed a fault with the fan when moving from once case to another.
The new unit works quietly, reliably - thus far - and without any problems. But a note of warning here, the modular connections have changed type and will no longer fit earlier models. In other words, if you, like me, buy this as a replacement unit, you'll need to change over every single PSU connecting cable in your system.
Oh, and this unit comes with a dual m/board ATX 12v cable, and it's important that you pick the right one to plug in. Get the wrong one, and not enough power will get to where it's got to go, and the unit may appear faulty.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 February 2013Previously impressed with the Seasonic brand, this psu seemed ideal.
Particularly wanting a modular type, this model appeared to be most suitable.
Unfortunately, the item delivered was only semi modular - not quite what I was expecting.
I know that most of the 'fixed' leads would have been used anyway, and the rest could be used in future.
So not really a problem? No - but a clearer product description would have been prefered.
As for performance, it seems to work perfectly well, just as expected - so no complaints there.
If you don't mind the 'semi' format, then I would be happy to recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 February 2013I wanted a good reliable power saving PSU. As i research on who makes who. i discover that the brand name is built but 3 or more only main comany that builds them. seasonic, Delta Electronics, Channel well, etc..
So i brought this from amazon. And wow, going to get another seasonic.

Anthony MReviewed in the United States on 22 June 20135.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Power Supply
Power Supplies get no love. They work or they don't work and get ignored after that. They're not flashy in most cases but carry quite a burden. I was delighted to find this at an amazing price on Amazon - the price as you might have noticed fluctuates by about $40 on any given day.
I'm in the camp that a lot of folks over-buy their power supplies. Sometimes it's quite necessary, but a lot of times not. There are calculators out there to tell you what you need, and I always go over that for a general safety factor and the ability to add on. Solid State Drives, Hard Drives and even GPU's are drawing less power these days. Additionally, where I used to have several hard drives each with several platters, a SSD and big HD are all that's required now.
Oddly, as PC parts get more efficient, Power Supplies actually have a harder job to do. Take the new Haswell chip from Intel. It's so power efficient that many power supplies fail when it tries to wake from a sleep state as the load is so low. In a weird way, power supply manufacturers have to make more efficient power supplies for more efficient PCs. That efficiency comes at a price with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze rated power supplies. For my budget and needs for both size and power, a Bronze rated supply was what I was looking for.
Luckily when I was buying parts as they came on sale in the weeks before the Haswell release, I purchased the very latest SeaSonic M12II 650. SeaSonic is well known and rightly so. They're one of only 2 brands I'd consider for a Power Supply and their reputation is beyond reproach. When I heard about the power supply issue with Haswell, I was confident that my still in the box PS would handle this issue, and I was right. These things are constructed to the highest tolerances in the industry. There are new models out there that can't handle the Haswell "feature".
In the box you won't get an embroidered velvet carrying bag (although there is a fabric bag with drawstring) to waste your money on. What you do get is a semi-modular power supply that's going to fit into any mATX or other small form-factor case you choose. You'll also get a large assortment of additional power cables, in enough configurations to keep the internals of your case nice, clean and cool. The cables are top quality sleeved in open mesh, there is simply no issue here with that or the easy swap connectors.
It's quiet, unassuming, solid, powerful and small. It's built by and backed by one of the very best in the business.
Pros:
- Semi Modular (MB 24 pin, ATX 12V 8/4, ATX 12v 8) for what you'll always need
- Modular (PCI-E, Peripheral power, SATA and floppy) in a variety of configurations and number
- 120mm double ball bearing quiet fan
- Smart fan controller
- Internal rubber mountings
- High reliability 150° Japanese capacitors
- Small form factor
Cons:
- Not free

Sehr gutes Netzteil, einfache Montage, durch das Kabelmanagement braucht man nur die benötigten Kabel anstecken.
Achtung für kleine PC-Gehäuse auf Abmessungen achten.

OlivierReviewed in France on 24 February 20135.0 out of 5 stars La qualité à un prix

PC ScooterReviewed in the United States on 5 May 20145.0 out of 5 stars Seasonic M12ll-650 Bronze ATX 650 Power Supply
Pro's
Semi modular
Clean power, it is put together correct by the manufacture.
5 yr. warranty.
Single 12v rail.
Powers just about anything new and most of the old systems.
Energy Saving, 80% plus. Draws 9 amps at the wall plug.
Con's
Cables a little on the short side. ATX/EPS cable needs a extension added for taller cases. A very small item.
Bought this from Warehouse Deals here at Amazon as used. The item suffered damage to the manufacture's carton as stated. One end was taped up, the cable end, with the cloth bag and screws. Power supply on the other end. Cables were in a sealed plastic bag. From all indications it was never run and perfect. Delivered on time. Price tag was close to half of normal. Upon delivery voltages checked, all there.
Not a stranger to the Seasonic brand, and they build for others. XFX and Antec are 2 of many. A very good product.
This one will end up in my own Intel Z68 rig, and should power it for a long time.
