This is my second pair of these. Except on windy days they provide quite enough warmth for skiing as hands stay dry. My hands do not stay dry in allegedly breathable 'proper' expensive skiing gloves.
They really are water-proof.
I bird watch, and in UK they have always been warm enough.
Can use my dSLR camer with them on, for all but setting using the advanced option on the screen.

I have worn these right through a Scottish winter. In my case they are a snug fit with good mobility and are certainly Hi Vis. They exhibit a curious phenomenon whereby at the start of a run for a few minutes they feel like they are not going to work. However, the rest of the time they have kept my hands toasty warm in all temperatures encountered so far (probably down to -5C). I try to avoid cycling in heavy rain but I did for the first time on Saturday and discovered like another reviewer that they don't seem to be waterproof at all.

i am extremely disappointed with these. i bought them for a person who wanted robust waterproof gloves. he wears them occasionally and only as little as possible because the water penetrates and they are not very comfortable. i would have sent them back and reclaimed my money, but he said no, and they were a present so i couldn't do that.

These are THE most fantastic gloves. They really are waterproof, they are breathable. My daily commute by bicycle is around 30 min. Great down to about 3 degrees, 2 for a short time. Below that you will need either silk liners or warmer gloves. Veery good grip and tough - although I did have to re-stitch the "hem" on the cuff. Despite this short-coming they are so great I still give them a 5 star rating. Expensive but worth the money. Absolutely love them.

It was very hard to find a pair of gloves that would give me enough dexterity to open a pocket knife and enough grip to safely operate a tractor, while keeping my hands dry and warm.

Through the winter I have to feed cattle in all weathers, sleet, snow, high winds and driving rain. I have to move in and out of a tractor cab, drive, use a knife to strip wrapping and netting off of silage bales etc. etc. etc.

By the time I get home the outer layer is sodden, but inside my hands are warm and dry, into the washing machine and they're ready to wear again the next day

The waterproof membrane and merino wool liner do not extend into the cuff, so the cuffs can get sodden if you are dealing with very wet conditions.

I wear these daily through the winter months and they go through the wash maybe twice a week. They've held up for 4 years and I'm just now shopping for a replacement pair because I grabbed hold of some barbed wire and punched a hole through all three layers of one of the gloves and it's no longer waterproof.

Wasn't too sure after seeing all the mixed reviews, esp regarding the waterproof-ness of the cuff. Having used these gloves for a few weeks in the London rain, I can say that these gloves never let a drop of rain through, even when the cuff was exposed. Even though they are not reflective, they still show up well in the night against headlights (good for indicating) and keep my hands nice and warm. My only slight complaint is that the size of the palm in relation to the fingers is a little big, but given that i have long fingers that was to be expected. Also arrived very quickly. In summary, good gloves, definitely waterproof, definitely worth a try (or buy...)

my son run these gloves under the tap and they kept his hands dry. Been out on a 21 mile bike ride in January, heavy rain, sleet, but still dry hands!. Fingertips got a bit cold towards the end, but these are more a medium weight glove and he was out on the bike for a while.Great buy, arrived quickly.

I bought these for cycling two months ago and am very disappointed with them. These gloves are not waterproof, in fact they absorb water, if they get wet on the way to work they are saturated when I go home. Also, they are not very warm, it has not been that cold recently but they don't keep my hands warm at all. After a couple of weeks the inner lining on one separated at the cuff which makes more difficult to get on. In short, don't bother with them.
