Product Description

Product Description

It is the year 2021. In this mind-bogglingly distant future, Sealab rises imperiously from the ocean's floor, her crew charged with exploring the possibility of underwater colonaisation. That is,when they're not fighting giant squids. Or running pirate radio stations. Or going back in time. Or being attacked by flesh-ripping aliens. Or becoming addicted to scorpion venom. Or getting stuck in a storage closet. Or going back in time again. Captain Murphy. Marco. Debbie. Stormy. Doctor Quinn. Dolphin Boy. They're all inside the DVD screaming to get out so they can live inside yor television. So buy the damn thing and set them free. You'll be ridiculously glad you did. Promise.

Been forced to write this due to the other comment which I feel is slightly off. I don't think you can categorise 'adult cartoons' into one genre. At it's best Sealab is golden, it's style of humor isn't to crack witty puns or or touch on xenophobic trends or anything else you'd get from other 'adult cartoons'. It's just stupid, stupid and brilliant and probably would only be got by a small audience. If you think you could be within that audience then just give it a try. Some will hate it, I really love it. If you're looking for a more specific comparison than 'adult cartoons' it's produced for Adult Swim so think Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Frisky Dingo etc etc

You have to have a very specific sense of humour to enjoy and fully understand it. At least 75% of people won't like this at all and just won't "get it". I however am not one of those people and I think it is brilliant and a realy unique comedy that is so rare today with most comedy shows just blending in with all the others. This stands out as show that doesn't alter itself to aim for a target audience. It knows some people won't like it but doesn't care. For those who saw Sealab 2020 you'll love this just to see how it has been changed. T recommend you watch an episode or two on the internet to make sure you like it.
I love it and hopefully you will to.

"Sealab 2021" is a great show, although it isn't quite as funny as "Archer" and "Frisky Dingo". However, the voice cast, especially Harry Goz as Captain Murphy, are pretty hilarious. Hopefully the other three seasons will be released as well.

I was recommended this on my like for shows like Family Guy, Drawn Together and other adult animated shows.

I heard this was similar Space Ghost, in the sense that is basically an old cartoon that had been reedited and dubbed over.

I remember watching Space Ghost many years ago, and whilst it wasnt the funniest show around, it was still somewhat entertaining.

Each episode is about 11 to 12 minutes long, so its not that long, and the first season had 13 episodes. So you may want to think about that and compare it to the price!

This show however, i didnt find entertaining. The good jokes are B grade, and the rest seem to attract moss and deadly silence.

The jokes seem more towards the preteens and immature teens, hence i guess the 12 rating.

Older viewers i feel would be bored, and would at best be able to crack a smile and never laugh.

Its not worth it, unless its something that is played on BBC Three between big tv shows to allow viewers to go make a cup of tea.

Avoid buying if you have any interest is shows like: Family Guy, Drawn Together, Futurama or The Goode Family.
