The cast were typical Seagal / Van Damme fodder, the script amounted to little more than gung ho cheese and the Rap / techno score was irritating at best - the type of movie that sacrifices character and plot develop in favour of fast paced, glitzy action for appeal. I'm sure this will entertain a lads night in, but for anyone looking for a war movie with a bit less gloss and a bit more realism then you need to look else where. (I can't obviously discuss the storyline except that a squad of special forces go into Africa to rescue a couple of importants - a bit like Tears of the Sun but far, far inferior).
The last bit was the best though, I mean one guy takes out most of a moderately sized African city. These guys just rock, bad guys (Especially dark skinned ones) cant shoot straight (European ones are a bit better), Arabs and other Middle Eastern types still seem to have a problem with perspiration (A problem they seem to have had ever since Delta Force about 20 odd years ago) and not only cant shoot straight but cant fight either.
No wonder there is a lower life expectancy in some sub Saharan countries when these guys are blowing up the place with their awesomeness. What can I say but go seal team!
