The Helm guides are works of art in themselves. Along with "Shorebirds" this must rank as one of the most beautiful bird guides of all time, although I really liked the artwork in Cpt Tuck's guide to seabirds.

Whilst sailing in South Atlantic found this book invaluable for bird identification. Good pictures and easy to follow. Would recommend as good book for all Ocean sailors.

Another in the brilliant Helms series of books. If anybody is clearing out their collection with books they don't want, please let me know. I just can' t afford all the ones I want. I'd take the lot could I afford it. Is the book completely accurate? I have to trust the authors on that. There's no way I'll see all of these seabirds but it will help when I'm out. I just need to persuade my wife to move to the coast. Ideas welcome...
