Spare, beautiful, haunting poetry.
on 11 July 2008 - Published on Amazon.com
Why Guillevic, who is so widely known and influential in Europe, is so unknown in the US is a mystery to me. Spare, contemplative, beautiful poetic meditations. This anthology draws from a number of Guillevic's books so give a good overview of his style. The title's long poem, "The Sea" is a special treat. Bilingual edition, very good introduction are bonuses.
